Just had a gander at the Belgian league and these are 6th in the table so we really should be rolling them over no problem. No doubt these will raise their game and try to cancel us out like United did but by the sounds of things we'll be starting with a much more attack-minded midfield so hopefully we shouldn't have too much trouble carving them open

Big game this, anything other than a win and we risk not going through.

Not really true, but if we fail to pick up 3 points tonight then we would be needing to beat Napoli and/or Salzburg.

I think we'll win these next 2 games and Napoli and Salzburg will cancel each other out, meaning that we just need 2 draws in the final 2 matches.

This is it and we are a high wire act. Think Klopp does it on purpose to give us all a collective nervous breakdown. I'll write to him over this...I will..

Milner at RB, Gomez for Matip and Keita for Henderson.

Salah to come on at some point in the second half.

Nah. Lovren will play CB & Gomez RB.

Fancy Milner to start in MF, also fancy Lallana to start, possibly the OX and Naby.

Or how about Gomez at RB and Lovren at CB? Happy with Keita for Henderson

Yes they are unknown, but they are also 6th in the Belgian league so if we can't dominate this team then I really will start to worry a bit.

Got to give Alex Ox a mention. Did very well when he came on V United. I mean it's an away leg C/L and OK it's Genk, who are conceivably the weakest team in the group but we still have guard against putting out a top heavy attacking midfield. So Ox and Keita might be a bit of a stretch.

Ox likes to play thru the middle, attack the space between the edge of the circle and their box, driving forward. Could play Hendo deep with Gini. Ox in the hole I mentioned.

      0-2..

Why not be attack minded, do you really see Genk, a team with a goal difference of 3 after 11 games in the Belgian league, posing much of a threat?

I feel that is just the Liverpool way, hope they prove us wrong with a straightforward win on the road to help us get to that magic number of 10 points.

I would think with fitness issues we will see a handful of changes to the side from the weekend with Klopp leaning a lot more on his squad to get the job done. Good opportunity to show the manager they deserve more playing time going forward and can be relied upon.

Well no but I just don't think the Boss will go Fab,Nabby and Alex. Think we go there on the front foot to put them away but I think the Boss likes our controlled aggression.

Bit of a slap in the face to Gomez isn't it?

Only if you think everyone but the 11 players chosen to start are being slapped in the face.

I see us putting on a clinical and clean performance. With Tottenham in the state their in I see us getting so momentum today and using it on Sunday to put the spurs to the sword. We will ride that momentum all the way into the City clash.

Klopp mentioned Lallana at DM in pre-season, and I think played him there at least once.
