      Pre-Match: Liverpool V Tottenham Hotspur (27/10/19 - 16:30)
      Oct 25, 2019 11:14:43 am

The beginning of another winning league run please! Spurs in poor form but always seem to perform at Anfield in recent times and will be out to avenge the Champions League final.

Still we should have too much for them if we play to our usual levels. 2-0 Reds!  :kop5cf8koxp6: :kop5cf8koxp6:

Slightly irritating with them having such an easy CL game coming into this, but I still think we should more than enough for them.

Hopefully Matip back and TAA. Big call to make in midfield but have a feeling he will go with the normal  3

Agree with you on the midfield. Doesn't sound to me from the presser that Matip will be ready. Not sure if Jürgen will stick with Lovren. I know he didn't play well the last time out, but I'd  prefer to see Joe Gomez back in alongside Van Dijk. Thankfully Trent and Robbo are pronounced fit for this match (I have a hunch Trent was not really all that ill - but just rested).

Oh right I read Matip was just rested and could have played midweek ?? I agree with Joe though if not . Think having Ox and Naby to come on is how he will play it if we are in need of bit more flair

      Alisson
      Trent, Dejan, Virgil, Robbo
      Fab, Gini, Hendo
      Mo, Bobby, Sadio

Then next week in the League Cup if fitness allows, I expect Jürgen to go with

      Adrian
Milner or Neco Williams, Gomez, Lovren or Matip, Milner or Larouci
      Lallana, Keita, Ox
Elliott or Divock, Brewster, Jones or Divock

If it's a choice between Lovren and Gomez I'd still opt for Dejan at the moment.

Gomez, Ox, Keita, Lallana, Origi, Milner can all get game time the following Wednesday but for this one I think Klopp will go for the usual industry in midfield and Lovren (who has good and bad form V Kane) at the back.

Think the team in midweek was a bit of a gamble Klopp wanted to make ahead of this one by resting Gini and Hendo.

I think I will go for a 3  1 win for the Reds. Although think Spurs will make it as difficult as possible for us with Kane, Son and Ali. Clean sheets certainly a premium atm.

I’d like to see Ox start in midfield. Obviously we’ve been winning in recent weeks but we’ve rode our luck and haven’t looked particularly fluid. Sheffield United, Chelsea, Leicester and the draw at toilet we’re all a bit scrappy. Ox or Keita will give our midfield that little bit of offensive balance that has been lacking. Ox gets my vote she side hecan also defend.

Surely will go for Gomez after Lovrens brain fart ! And of course Gomez pace.
I would also go sigh Millie, Gini snd Ox to start in the middle.
If it looks suspect we have s good bench.
Gone for 3/1  not expecting s clean sheet if Lovren starts so pre emoting this

On edge about this match for some reason. Maybe because Spurs have been mediocre for a good bit now and I'm afraid they will put it all together and play a stormer. Hopefully we will play a stormer of our own and it wont matter, but lik eI said, nervous about this one even thought I'm usually the optimist in the room.

It is hard to tell with Spurs though based on their showing on the road this season they shipped a lot of goals. I think we can up out on them early we could bag 3 or 4 and have a easy showing but knowing our luck their keeper will have a worldie of a game or something. As far as line-up goes I if Matip isn't back I can see Lovren retaining his spot next to VvD and drop Ketia for Gini to have a bit more balance in the middle of the park.

      ------------------Alisson------------------
      TAA-------Matip---------VvD-------Robbo
      -----Gini--------Fabinho-----Ox----------
      ----Salah-------Firmino-----------Mane--

Subs: Adrian, Gomez, Milner, Hendo, Lallana, Ketia, Origi

Don't think Jürgen will risk Matip if he's not fully wired up, playing him could exacerbate his niggle and that won't be too healthy going into the mad season, November thru to Jan,

So he'll probably go with Dejan although Gomez would be my choice for his pace alone, midfield has a worse headache for me,  but again I feel Jürgen will stick with the usual suspects,  myself I think it's about time we give the Ox a run of games,  but who drops out ?
Gini although not yet at his best still puts a shift in and is invaluable with his link up play and breaking up attacks, or Hendo who gives us more steel and can be useful further forward when required , against Spuds we need a strong midfield so Hendo gets the nod, just hope he has a blinder and in control,

Despite Spuds recent form they can still inflict damage so we need to be at it , for me they rely too much in the King of Nobs in Harry Wankstain but Son & Eriksen pose a threat too,

Tough game,  tough opponent but still feel our quality will shine through...

                                Allison
           Trent Lovren Van Dijk Robertson
                                  Fabinho
                     Hendo                  Gini
                Salah          Firmino      Mane

Wasn’t it Lovren who went into meltdown for two gifted goals against these when we lost 4:2 ?
Correct me if I’m wrong. Wasn’t too long ago so they may target him.
If it was him, ( memory a bit off nowadays) will he be a bit jittery ?
Rather Gomez there even if it’s just his pace that separates the two. That Son can turn the burners on when there’s space behind. Certainly need to cover that. I know Robbo can match him, but if he gets caught upfield and they counter !

      Correct.

However it will have been noted his mistake lead to Genk's goal the other night.

Klopp will stick with Lovren I reckon though. Like a few other Lovren is just rusty after not playing so much recently.

3  1 seems a popular score line that fans are predicting. Ox seemingly has his tail up and may well chip in. Mane always looks likely to score days, with Mo Salah rounding off the scoring.

Yeah since then he’s played in a CL and World Cup final ppl need to stop looking for reasons to beat him up he’s a Fukn Liverpool player after all.

I’m with you - I don’t rate him like the other players but I still back him 100%!

      Correct.

However it will have been noted his mistake lead to Genk's goal the other night.

Klopp will stick with Lovren I reckon though. Like a few other Lovren is just rusty after not playing so much recently.

He was 100% at fault as have all our defenders been in different moments this year he is prone to the occasional brain snap but to refer to a game and performance from 3 years ago is ridiculous.

Ah yes you are the Lovren superfan aren't you, I remember now.

Anyway back to reality Joe Gomez is the better CB, plus he's quicker so I'd rather he starts.

3 points today are very crucial for us, we need to keep a 6 point gap till we face City...

Would love to see a midfield of Ox,Fabinho & Keita with the usual suspects at the back & upfront..

      2-0 to the Redmen..

Wide open if we don't get 3 points today. Gone for a 2-1 win but I think it could be nervy and tight. We seem to be grinding out results these days, so hopefully, we can put in a good performance and take back some momentum.

Fancy us for a 3-1 win today, get into the cockney tw*ts from the off. Would be amazing if we pulled off a Bayern type result similar to our 78 team!

Ramp up the pressure on Poch and extend our lead over the manc cu*ts.

He is very error prone though, kind of like the Karius of defenders.

I feel on edge every time he is in the lineup, unlike Van Dijk where you know a mistake is probably next to none existent.

With Lovren I feel like there could be one every game.

Just because he played in a champs league and world cup doesn't automatically make him the best defender.

I mean, D'Jimi Traore has a winners medal to his name.

But I reckon if we play as well as we can they wont get near him much anyway.

Find it very odd that people can think Lovren is a better defender than Joe and that these occasional brain farts are just the norm .

I don't look forward to playing against teams who have the ability to summon revenge against us.  I also don't like playing against temperamental teams who can pull their finger out and have nothing to lose.

Invariably these teams DO manage to pull their fingers out against us.

Can't say I'm massively looking forward to today's game. Can definitely see Harry 'he doesn't dive because he's English' Kane 'earning' at least one penalty.

Let's have a solid performance here Bobby!

Manure are a bag of dogshit - but they were at home and it was a cup final for those wasters.
Spuds have better players, but are going through a ropey period - and we have them at home. Am expecting the 3 points - get in there early and expose the cracks. Then hopefully any confidence they have to turn things around by getting a big unexpected result will be put to bed.
The other teams round us got 3 points each this weekend - we really need to do the same.
      Quietly confident.

Not looking to beat him up, just thinking of the mental pressure against the same opponent that’s all. Agree he’s had some stonking good games for us since, but also a few stinkers as well. Not the only one I know, but......
Mental pressure often worse than physical pressure.

The XI I expected, the lads who drop out will be tasked with keeping us in the league cup on Wednesday.

Big game this today and i wasn't  for a million years expecting Klopp to gamble, especially with both Ox and Keita.

Midfield will need to win the battle for us to win the war. Players like Ox may have a part to play if we are not winning by an hour. If we are then Milner will be brought in.

Got a decent squad for a few eventualities. Let's get at these.
