How that red vertical line which is Bobby's right shoulder, is drawn in reference to Bobby's left leg to prove he was offside is still beyond me.

OMG do we need to write to the premier league? Honestly. This is ridiculous

It was a goal all day long,Atkinson should be banned, thankfully we got the result, but it could have been costly.

Looking at the Mane winner. A header back accros the goal, meant as a flicked on header, probably expected an assist. He did a very similar header in the first half.A corner from the left by TAA and Mane glanced a header back accros into 6 yard box, nearly got an own goal.

On the goal Mane was at the near post. TAA might've been picking him out for the glanced header back into the 6 yard box but Mane got great contact on it and it was strong enough to beat the keeper and go in the far post.

Looked like a deliberate ploy. Brave of TAA to try it with VVD & Lovren waiting for the long cross.

VAR has the potential to be such a good thing but the Premier League has absolutely fu**ed it.

The situation around the Bobby ā€˜goalā€™ was utterly appalling.

When Andy Grey says it's a goal for Liverpool, and VAR is wrong, you know someone has been messing with space time continuum.

Yeah it looks like there is a serious problem with VAR and offsides. It looks highly subjective where you put the lines, if you aren't looking straight along the line.

(And yeah, Atkinson has tried it one way and gone "oops that's onside. Let's start by setting the line as offside and work from there".)

The fundamental problem seems to be that if you have a diagonal line and you draw a line straight down towards it from above, eventually the 2 will meet. Somebody could be 6 feet onside, but if you draw a line down from them it will, in the end, meet the diagonal line somewhere. It looks like Atkinson's downward line meets the diagonal line a yard or 2 closer to the near touchline than Bobby's right armpit actually is.

Handball is also a problem. There was a clear handball from villa (according to the new rules) which has been given in other games.

Yeah, but it would take too long during a match, to write a computer programme to show all Liverpool goals to be offside 😳
After Atkinsonā€™s performance in our match against the scum, then this deliberate aberration of the rules and equipment, surely this must be the end for him ?

      THIS .....

the game has very obviously gotten much quicker than what the modern day Ref can cope with, as fit physically as they need to be their still miles off the fitness of a player,  so they need help...hence VAR,...Chats is 100% correct, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the system...it's the clowns who run thst are the problem...professional referees looking after their own, is what is blatantly obvious, every week it's the same, contentious issues caused by the ineptitude of individuals supposedly there to ensure fairness and accuracy at the highest level of football, but yet these f***in idiots get away with their calamitous decisions and now obvious manipulation of the the very equipment designed to help in their arbitration,

That footage of Andy Grey along with other proof should be sent to all media outlets and of course Soho square, this needs to be sorted with immediate effect, because it is actually killing what is left of our once beautiful game.

GET rid of the clowns and put in place people totally impartial to football alongside a ex-player/Manager ,a official from the Referees association and a video analysis, and run it as they do in rugby union,  Simple and effective.

Well done the lads for fighting to the bitter end and securing the 3 points. I thought our disallowed goal was on side and it is sad that a ref and his var mate got it totally wrong.I must mention Robbo's goal,it went in like a bullet and I hope he can get a few more in the coming months.

I haven't watched this as I am at my dad's side in Arrowe Park Hospital. He's dying here, literally, and know what? This game, we had to win, for him. I would've hated for the last Liverpool game of his life to have ended in defeat.

Sorry to be depressing but f**king hell, it's got me emotional, that.

      Get the f**k in.

Let's try this again. Draw that red vertical line all the way down, until the point it is horizontal with the defenders' feet. Then draw the diagonal offside line at the point where the horizontal line and red vertical line meet. Offside proven all day. We will forever be offside.

Damn it c**t Atkinson. I challenge you to extend that red line to the defenders feet for the whole world to see what a dumb ass you are!!! You will prove that we're offside by a million miles and that you're bloody dumb.

Remember when tight offsides were supposed to goto the attacking team. ffs. thats like 5mm his shoulder is offside by. its too small a margin I think.

Look at point where the red vertical dotted line meets the red diagonal offside  line. If we draw a horizontal line across from that point, it would be that space between Bobby and the defender.

Parallax error and blatant manipulation. Want to implement VAR, theyā€™ll have to bloody know how to draw their lines.

I actually thought that that VAR was computer controlled, I had no idea you had some referee with a clear bias against Liverpool just drawing random lines until he finds one that makes a Liverpool goal offside!

Anyway there is a very simple solution to this, make it computer controlled using AI etc and measure offside on relative hip position, that is the only fair way to do it, not armpit versus knee ffs!

Agree if it's that tight, should just favour the attacking team. End of dicking around with the micrometer.
Ridiculous decision yesterday to disallow Bobs goal.
Even with the benefit of replays etc. the VAR people are still F***ing up.
It's not the technology, it's how the jokers are using/interpreting it.
If blatantly wrong decisions are being made as well a right ones, then why not just scrap the thing until they have rules in place that a fair and clear. At least then we'll still have right/wrong decisions, but the game will flow without poxy stoppages.
Sometimes now when we score, there's a little 'oh sh*t, wonder did anything go wrong in the build up that VAR could catch us out on', which is pretty crap.  Opposite is true though, if the other team score it's like, VAR where the F**k are you :)
