this is the best Liverpool team for over 40 years and Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley would love nothing more than to sit down with Jürgen and talk to him about football. Enjoy these moments because they are so special

Wow what a win. Very hard to find fault with anyone today, when Stones and Walker started to argue it was clear we had them. The antics of Pep were embarrassing and the players really couldn’t take what was happening.

They will bang on about the handball before the first goal and they will continue to ignore the fact it went on to Trents hand from Bernardo’s hand.

Think it was inevitable they would score but the more the second half went on, the more comfortable I think we were looking. The only real fault I can pick with anyone today is that on the goal Mane could have given Trent a lot more support instead of wandering back and Robbo should have been aware of Silva. Would’ve been nice to keep the clean sheet but when City have that much of the ball for large spells, throwing players forward, it’s rare they don’t score.

Think that’s the best and most concentrated performance we’ve had this season though because so often this season we’ve been very sloppy and almost gotten complacent but today there was no switching off and some nice play with the ball.

We took a huge step today, we’ve taken 2 more points off them than last season and we owed them that after the way they stole the win from us in January.

      Get in!

Just listened to Jürgen’s after match talk, what a contrast to the crying, snivelling sarcastic Guardiola. Wouldn’t have Guardiola anywhere near this Club! We’ve got the BEST.

Great post that underlines just how fantastic a job we did today. Majority of our players went out today and did what they do best and played a game that undid Man City's futile commitment to possession football.

He's a bellend. I don't think I've seen such an unbalanced and petty bit of punditry in quite a while.

Agree, he came across as very bitter and only seeing the incident as a deliberate hand ball, or the arm in a unnatural position,  sour grapes or what,
The ref was right there with a perfect view ,he didn't see it as deliberate and seen as it was, a deflection from Bernardino,  get over it Vincent your side lost and will lose their title,  tough sh*t.

Quite frankly, the pitiful looks Roy Keane and Graham Souness were giving him in the studio said it all. Didn't see the pre match but heard he got absolutely schooled by Jose Mourinho as well.

Like on the touchline with Anderlecht, this is a man so far out of his depth in front of a camera. If the Sky producer was giving him marks out of 10 he'd get a 'See me after class' note.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. We can absorb pressure, create pressure and I still feel like we're just ticking over, not even troubling top gear yet.

Man City have a tendency to overflow the box and score goals from cut backs, they barely created any of those today. Actually thought Sterling worried me more when he was central a couple of times.

Struggling like hell to pick a MotM for this game, too many in the running, though it's always nice when our much maligned midfield mugs off a few.

Roy Keane is quite a honest pundit and he was definitely sure LFC deserved this and are massive favourites for the league

Fabinho for me is having the influence VVD had last season. His presence in midfield is absolutely amazing.

Gini and Hendo were amazing today, Salah and Mane were great also.

Everyone was amazing, come on you reds!

Even Ratboy accepts Anfield is a place you come to and expect to lose. 60 years of winning games since Bill Shankly made Anfield a "Bastion of invincibility" 45 years before Maureen invented mind games. this is special if you don't wan to get on board F**k off

Big win obviously but nothing is in the bag. And the Boss knows that and says we work day in day out and take nothing for granted. We can beat the best on offer then drop points against the likes of Palace so the challenge is to work as hard to beat Palace and the rest as hard as we worked today.
