They’re a terrifying team tho. Felt so much like the CL QF first leg against them...
thought sterling was great, caused Trent all sorts of problems.

Also, that second goal needs watching time and time and time again, absolutely gorgeous.

We don’t often see long range stunners in this team but we’ve had a few lately - stunning strike from Fabinho, the connection makes you want to get your cock out.

I would love to hit a ball that sweet infront or millions people around the world. He’s well on course for player of the season.

Fabinho. First name on the teamsheet for me these days.

Absolutely thrilled that we showed what we know we can do in these big games.

Deservedly top of the Premier League.  City have lost 3 times in their 12 games this season. Liverpool have lost 1 in their last 51 games.

It's clear to me now that if we don't do it this season we will only have ourselves to blame.

I cannot help fearing an injury or two. For me the wheels are in danger of falling off if one of the front three, VVD or either full back has a spell on the sidelines.

Just watched the post match “analysis” on sky. Absolutely sh*te. Spent half an hour looking at a possible handball. Only people talking sense were Keane and Mourinho ffs!

Unreal win and performance today. Anfield was up for it and when anfield is up for it teams rarely leave with a result. Pep will be so embarrassed of himself watching the highlights back what a child. Long way to go still but huge when you consider how tough citys fixtures are after the international break.

Something tells me they wont be asking Kompany back in a hurry, clown. City are so used to having everything their own way for so long now they act like tw*ts if something goes against them which can be seen by their ex captain on punditry, their manager all game and bernardo silva in his post match interview!

Tooooooo safe for me. Can’t see this line up ( midfield) going for it any more than recent games. Where I might add, we’ve not been great.
City are capable of inflicting more damage than the lesser side of previous weeks.
      Worried shitless now.
Hope they make me eat my words !

Watching again on MoTD and Trent really is an incredible footballer. Could easily play midfield for us but of course there is no need.

      His passing though is outrageous.

Watch it in the pub. So glad we revived the high press. So much pressure on the ball really didn’t let them get going aside from a few short spells. Probably moments we were taking a breather from the massive work rate.
Lesson learned from last years performsnce, and showed we are the better side as a collective unit.
Couldn’t hear most of the after match pundits because of the riot of noise in the pub 😄
Did listen to Alan w**ker Shearer on motd. What a thick b***ard. They said var explained if city scored it would have been disallowed for the city handball, before it hit Trent.
And the dull boy, still insisting it should have been a pen.
      Is he for real 🤷‍♂️🤪🤪

Not only did we win convincingly and grabbed 3 points. But for once I didn't have to see any of those Gallagher douche bags or see City players dancing and lip syncing  to Wonderwall or Champagne Supernova.

Tactical masterclass from Klopp, really did a number on Pep early on by letting City come at us so we could pick them off - took a lot of bottle as well because regardless of their current defensive flaws they've still got a wealth of talent that can hurt you from the midfield up.

Salah was terrific again, can't believe some of the knee-jerk shouts earlier in the week about leaving him out for this one. Thought Trent was brilliant going forward but seemed to get the runaround off Sterling a bit when City were on the attack, especially towards the end. Nothing much to worry about though because he's not the first defender who Sterling has caused problems for and he certainly won't be the last.

City's penalty shout still dominating the press and I'm not sure why - Bernardo's arm clearly diverted the ball onto Trent so it's pretty clear that it shouldn't have been a penalty. The case should have been closed in a matter of minutes. The only reason I can think of is that it gives these boring arse pundits something to discuss. They all bang on about how much they hate VAR (myself included) yet controversy and "talking points" are all good for the media! Gives them an opportunity to wheel out more boring referees to state what's already been stated 1000 times & adds weight to the gravy train. All publicity is good publicity in my opinion and certain talking points keep the merry-go-round spinning.

Final point - Pep's meltdown in front of the Main Stand was absolutely hilarious - screaming to the heavens holding up the number two. Ironically the same number of hairs he has on his head. Baldy b***ard!

Great performance by the Reds, to see off City. Brilliant strike by Fabinho, to open the scoring. Whilst City bemoaning the fact they should have had a penalty, at the other end, which looked debatable to say the least. With this phycological blow the Reds must surely be on course to win the title at last !
