Cheating Kunt is Messi voted for Mane after facing VVD.  He votes tactically.  VVD had the best season ever for a defender no attacker troubled him through out the entire season including the cheat Messi and Ronaldo.

Would have been given to Messi anyway. Barca have been sh*t this season so that automatically gives Messi the sympathy win.

Messi wins it again, can’t say I think he did enough in 20/21 to win it.

Couldn't agree more. He hasn't done sh*t since he joined PSG, and wasn't up to his usual standards last season either.
Messi only got it because he finally won something with Argentina (and he wasn't even their best player).

For me, Lewy should 100% have won it (and last year too). And there were a few other players more deserving than Messi.

Ok. So the guy who every single person agrees has lost a step. Wins the Ballon d'Or and the guy who everyone thinks is the best player in world football finishes 7th? I love the politics of football.

Breaking Gerd Muller's record is a F***ing achievement on its own. Far bigger than winning a Copa America tha happens every 2 years. Talk about being corrupt(thick) as F**k.

By helping to sell more France Football publications? By giving them more exclusive interviews? They should show where the votes came from for more audit and transparency.

But its for before he went to PSG. Its last season.

The copa America win has obviously tipped the balance.

      Its his last.

Salah in with a shout next season if he keeps playing well. and we win something.

Salah will be firm fav if he keeps his form up this year. Mind you that appears to mean nothing when you think Lewandowski got sh*t on again this year.

The Award is for Calendar year so it should include this season

Messi has a total of two more club goals than Mo in that period

It’s a French award at the end of the day and Messi and Ronaldo will always be up there

Lewondonski should have won it the past two years - it was shocking they cancelled it last year and it’s a disgrace he didn’t get it this year

Not sure if that’s  :f_tongueincheek: with you Brian.  :D However, Salah ahead of the old man based from what I’ve seen so far this season.

Doesnt go on form, Messi won it this year so Ronaldos turn next yearthen back to Messi the following year.

You do know Modric never actually won the award, his name was read out by mistake but there was no going back once he was up on the stage collecting it, Messi actually won that year to
