9 goals 11 assists in 22 games this season mate that's one of the highest end products in Europe.

He looks quite strong for his size also very tenacious.

Yeah not sure the Austrian Bundesliga is the best litmus test for that. Only seen him against us but my impression of their whole squad was that with a bit more quality we'd have been playing Europa football.

Was an even game, their style of play was great to watch, but the difference in the end was we had Salah and Mane and they didn't.

He's definitely talented, reminded me a bit of Salah at Basel and Fiorentina so I'm not writing him off. The more depth the better for me.

This the lad that broke Virgils back in the first game? No questions about physicality for me sign him absolute bargain!

Didnt he elbow him in the bollocks?

Played well both games against us. Can’t really go wrong at that price.

Anyone concerned about height issues and tenacity should check out the likes of Shaqiri and Salah, the stats you give endorse the lad's quality.

I'm not worried about his height that's for sure. The best players in the game in his position are around that height.

For 7.25 million he's clearly a bargain, seems like we've cut out the middle man (Southampton) this time around, just think he will be providing competition  and depth along with Shaq and Origi rather than displacing the front 3.

Hope we land him, I'm sure Klopp and the team will work their magic on him and turn him into a world beater like he has with all his other buys.

Anyway rather than talk sh*te I'll go and have a youtube scouting session and see what's what.

He's a busy little player that's for sure, incredible workrate and great feet. Agree that he will need to get a bit stronger in the EPL but for this sort of money it's a no-brainer.

Here's his performance in the 1st CL game at Anfield, he certainly gave us some problems.

I think your thinking of the Napoli game.

In the first leg for one of their goals one of their Asian players absolutely carved Virgil up before scoring ...

This guy looks like he can operate anywhere along the front line, the wings and in midfield. Textbook Klopp signing, talented, hard working, eye for a pass, and can cover many positions. At that price, it makes you wonder why there weren't other teams lining up (maybe there were and we just hadn't heard about it yet).

I'd say with our fixture congestion, he very well may become a key player, not just an option off the bench.

Has Klopp written all over him doesn't he. Incredible work rate, versatile and skillful plus he's quick. Would make a lot of sense in January.

No doubt about it that he looked like he had something different about him.

He caused our regular back four issues in a way that you can't say about many Premier League players this season.

I'm not sure what it says about the scouting system at the club, but on the other hand Sadio Mane had good games against us and then we bought him.

Agree that he looks like a bosses type of player.

If bought for 7.25M, could turn into a Coutinho type of bargain.

Seems the perfect signing for Klopp.
Anywhere across the front 3 + the 10.
Gives the team a better balance in support of the main front 3 and hopefully means an end to the "Ox is a forward" experiment.

Incremental improvements all the time now.

Now that he has left Echo, he's surely saying more than what he could. You can't go too much wrong at this price. Shirt sales and pre-season matches in Japan would cover some of the cost. Even if that goes wrong, expect Michael Edwards to offload him for more than £12m. Looking to be a sweet deal commercially.

No complains at this price. He's already so cheap. Reasonably, I'm not going to complain. And it's not fair given the price.

To make me point more obvious, if something is free, we'd all go - that damn thing is free, what more do you want? So at this bargain price, we can't really complain. Offload him at a profit at worst.
