Most of these lads will never play for the 1st XI and will end up in lower leagues but can look back and say they represented  LFC in a quarter final

They've done a lot better here than they did in that EFL Trophy.

Two very soft goals to concede and then two professional well taken goals.

Just lack that clinical touch in front of goal.

But these kids have not been humiliated.  It's been better than I thought - thought they wouldn't get a kick.

Sounds like we're doing everything but score in the closing stages.

Listening to the audio and you have to say, the support for our boys has been tremendous. Loud signing through most of the match. Really great for these kids who you have to say have been thrust into an unfair situation. Still, they have created chances and shown a lot of positives for such a young side (based on the commentary). I don't think club management will let these kids wallow from the scoreline.

I say if we lose the first game in Qatar, fly all these lads over to play the 2nd match. They'd do us proud!

Do not understand why they are trying to play like the first team, as kids we need a team ethick, yeah, but they need to express themselves. Work together as a unit, and work as a team who can compliment each others strenths

Disappointed that a few of the key U23 players are missing tonight. They should be playing here, not in the CWC.

I'm proud of the kids even with the harsh scoreline. We had to make a choice to prioritise one of these cups and I think we made the right one.

Shame we didn’t score. Did ok. Their keeper played well.

Watching the game from the KO  , just logged on so haven't read any comments/thoughts...  all I can say is I am totally proud of the lads,

Most unfair scoreline,  but we tried to play football ,  had them rattled till they got the 1st  , freakish 2nd then tough...Villa keeper was good.  The future is bright,  hope there are no negative comments after this result.
