I've watched all Sotons games since Mini got there.... There's a solid player there. We may have to play a 4-2-3-1 for him to truly thrive, but that's how we used Shaq a few years ago and we had a super solid 10 game run in that formation.

Let's not rewrite history here.  He was hardly Pele for us.   It was foolish for us to send him out on loan but I think 'disgrace' is a bit harsh. 

He's got a great opportunity now to bang in bags of goals for Southampton in their next 10 games and come back to us and knock one of our players out of our first team.  Let's see if he does.

I don't think the expectations when we got him was that he would knock someone out of the first team, but rather provide depth and be a quality backup option in case of injury or rotation. Given the situation we are in i think he could have been a useful option to have and i think it's a shame he suddenly got written off after the Palace game.
