I would say Luis Garcia. A man for the big occasions, even if he could be frustratingly inconsistent at times. Of the current team, Divock Origi will surely go down as one as well.

Haven’t had time to read the previous posts, but to list a few Fromm the current squad.
      Allison, VVD, Millie, Trent, Robbo,
Mo, Sane, and more, but for me it has to be......
      Roberto Firminho.
He is the unsung hero, who makes the connection from mid field to strikers. Not always on top form but works tirelessly, never give up, and if his assists aren’t enough, scores so many crucial goals, and always with a smile on his face.,
One of the most important Liverpool players of all time for me.
      And what a character too.
Love the fella, and long may he stay a part of Liverpool domination. 😁

Sorry, thought you were referring to current crop,
Long term, Bob. Paisley without a doubt.

In 10 years time I will look back very fondly on Divock.

A scorer of crucial goals, seems very laid back/dopey but when it comes to the crunch, he's there when it matters.

At this stage Robbo too,  but i'm confident once his time in the game has been and gone, he will be a proper legend in his own right. Love everything about him, his attitude is spot on in what a fan wants from a player.

Relentless, but also loving playing for the club

I'm not sure everyone has the same interpretation of cult player but there are a few that spring to mind. I always loved igor Biscan, I remember he was incredible during his first couple of games, then he was dire, haulier even tried him at centre-half for a few games I recall and he was even more shocking. But when Rafa came in he suddenly looked a good player again and he out in some excellent performances on our champions league run subbing brilliantly for Alonso in the 0-0 draw in Turin.

Going back a bit further Titi Camara was another favourite of mine, I think he was only at the club for one or two seasons but he was unpredictable and you never knew what he was going to do with the ball(and neither did he). I remember him getting the winner in a 1-0 game at High hey and that's when you could see things coming together under Houllier for the first time.

Going further back it would have to be Ronny Rosenthal, remembered unfairly for one of the worst open goal misses in history he scored several goals in his first season having come in midway through the season to clinch the title. I can remember the club had to apply for special dispensation to get him a medal which he massively deserved.

I don't know if define him as cult hero but I have a lot of time and appreciation for Steve Finnan who was I think best RB for the past 10-15 years until TAA came along. He was a great defender and could ding a ball into the box very effectively. He wasn't at the club for a long period of time (5 seasons) but he was part of the UCL team and FA Cup winning sides under Rafa.

I liked Craig Johnston running up and down the flank with long permed hair.  ;D Tells a good story too.

David Speedie - his celebration in front of the blueshite was F***ing hilarious.

Titi Camara as well, scored some boss goals but was supposedly a lazy b***ard in training & Houllier dumped him, signing Emile Heskey for £11 million instead.

Yes, i agree, he was never a first team regular, i dont even remember did he got a decent chance but he managed to score in the CL final coming in of the bench. Also scored a couple of nice goals by just being in the right place at the right time, people will always have a couple of nice words for this fella.
