I’m hoping he’s employing some mind games here, in Carlo’s presser he jokingly asked if there were any Liverpool fans present, so maybe , knowing that Carlo would see his presser, he would allude to make changes irrespective of the opposition and history of  this fixture,

I’m not convinced Jürgen would weaken our chances of progressing, especially against local rivals, if it were again anyone else , maybe, but not that shitty wee club over the park, and also, as been pointed out, it’s a week or so before we batter  Maureen’s mediocre Spuds, so time enough for recovery.

In the Carabao I remember thinking he'd make changes [against Arsenal] but he went even further than I thought he would.
There's a decent break to Spuds but it's not just that, there's avoiding injuries to players, and also for title chasers/top4 challengers in the PL, and CL knockout stage, there's already a lot of games there and need to be playing strongest teams as much as possible in them, nevermind other competitions.
Utd and Wolves ended up 0-0, and now have to have a replay - reckon Jürgen would want that like a hole in the head.
It's a pity, but with money in the PL and CL, it's the way things have gone.
But let's see what team he picks, then we'll know what he thinks...

That’s a good spot, I think that’s what I’d like to see. I don’t think we will win the game if he plays to youngsters at CB. For all the nice possession at Villa it was the young back five that really did it.

Jürgen will start our strongest 11, then make three changes at half time when we're 4-0 up  ;D

Good catch. Neco Williams will play right back, has been with the first team training for at least a month now. Not sure if Hoever has trained with the first team of late but he may well feature at center, the left or on the bench.

Perhaps Virgil and/or Joe have gone to Jürgen and said, "We're good to go."

Weakened team in cup equals time off and trip to marbella which equals January form dip.

This is another thing can imagine some saying to the Boss I wanna play and I know he will take advice from fitness gurus but who wouldnt want to play ? Going to be interesting and everyone guessing at moment think/hope  it will be a mixture of both 1st and 2nd string

Yeh seen this side quoted by numerous sources looks a little weaker than ideally wanted but presume Mane and likes on bench

Lets hope nothing goes to VAR as the games rulers have got into a right muddle over it.

In the press today HEAD repeat HEAD of the games Lawmaking body IFAB, Lucas Brud...says regarding the marginal offside decisions..."If you spend multiple minutes trying to identify wheather it is offside or not, then it's not a CLEAR AND OBVIOUS ERROR and the original decision should stand"......very clear...except....go to..

      www.premierleague.com/var

"Factual decisions, such as OFFSIDE..or if a foul is committed inside or outside the penalty area, WILL NOT BE SUBJECT TO THE CLEAR AND OBVIOUS ERROR TEST.."

What chance has the ref got when the head of the Lawmakers is in a muddle over VAR..
