Liverpool 1-0 Everton: In game and Post Match discussion
      Jan 05, 2020 02:59:26 pm

City of Liverpool waiting to be conquered by the almighty Reds

Starting XI: Adrian, Milner, Gomez, Phillips, Williams, Lallana, Chirivella, Jones, Elliott, Minamino, Origi.

Subs: Kelleher, Mane, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Brewster, Hoever, Larouci.

      The 235th Merseyside derby.

Takumi Minamino makes his Liverpool debut in this afternoon’s FA Cup third-round tie with Everton at Anfield.

The forward is handed a place in the starting XI as the Reds make nine changes from the team deployed against Sheffield United on Thursday.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is named on the bench after recovering from injury.

I really hope Everton are also resting their entire team otherwise Everton will get their first win at Anfield in 20 years.
In all seriousness is it not a better option to just pull out of the competition rather than derail a winning team and puncture the unbeaten home record?

Biggest surprise for me is Ox on the bench. Hadn't heard a word that he was close to returning, so great news going forward.

LFC TV are showing the lineup as if Minamino will play up front with Origi and Harvey Elliott, and Jones will be in midfield.

This team can win today. Shame on anyone giving up before a ball is kicked. Shame.

what an opportunity for these lads a Derby game at Anfield in front of a full house. If they cant step up when called upon what are they doing there so lets see how they get on.

How come Everton dont need to rest their entire team whilst we do? Genuine question.

I mentioned to someone on here a week or so ago my belief that Nat Phillips wouldn't get into a match while he was recalled. Hands up here, totally wrong on that.

Hoping the youngster has a Reds debut (and probably finale) to remember.

didn't we have this conversation a month ago and won 5-2 Jürgen wouldn't put a team out that doesn't have enough quality to win a game.
SPurs away and then  UTD are massive compared to today.30 years of frustration and nearly men means nothing but nothing can be taken for granted and  risks have t be minimized.
      3-1 to us today

      Not an unexpected line up.
Will be good to see Minamino :) And glad Gomez is at CB.
Far more experienced Everton selection, so they have to be favourites.
Jürgen and the club might not come out and say it, but think it's clear what they think of this competition, regardless of the opposition.
Pity how far the League and FA Cups have fallen, but the big clubs in the big comps just have bigger fish to fry.
In saying all that, CMON LADS!!!!!!!!!
Good experience again for a lot of them again.

What we need to remember is Jürgen has total trust in those he believes can do a job, he works with these lads day in day out and knows their capaabilities , I trust him and believe in him and that's good enough for me,

NOW,  LETS f***in DO THIS!! !

I wish there was a feature on here where, if I have ignored a poster, when someone quotes said poster it is kept hidden from me.

Season of a lifetime and someone's going like Hicks & Gillette have returned. Unhinged Wummery.
