FA Cup 4th Round Draw, Monday Night at 7:30 p.m. UK Time
      Jan 06, 2020 05:43:16 pm
Draw is at 7:30 p.m. UK time. We are Ball #12.

I just conducted a draw during my lunch break and we got Crewe or Barnsley Away. Man City got Chelsea so you know THAT isn't going to happen.

Who would you all like to see us get?

Sorry about the old list - posting on the fly never works out well. Thanks WAHS for updating.

Watford or Tranmere, although either side would give us a more difficult game than Everton !

Can’t argue with that draw considering the tough ones we’ve had over the past couple of seasons.

No disrespect to both teams but Liverpool should be going through

After 12 of 16 ties were set, City and us were still on the hopper. Glad we didn't get that - not out of fear, but just didn't need a match like that in the middle of our league games. This match will between the Wolves game and the makeup date for West Ham.

Good draw for us where we should be able to rest a couple of players and still go through.

City with a home tie to Fulham. Have never know a club to have such a consistent run of good draws in domestic cups.

Nice to have a smaller team, not always an easy game in the cups but it's a much better tie than we could have got.

To be fair, are there many possibilities of a bad draw for City? Even weaker Premier League teams would probably be seen as an easy draw for them, or for us too. There's probably four or five teams who would be an hard draw for either club.

Settle for that although ideally wanted home tie. Not as glitzy as previous tie so will need to be mentally prepared and not complacent hopefully a few more back by then

Bloody hell, actually a lower league opposition.
At one point I thought we were going to get City away and when they were drawn I expected to see ball 12 follow....but in hindsight the FA wouldn’t allow that to happen, might upset City knowing that they’d then be going out in the 4th round.

Could be tricky. Whoever gets thru will be on a big pay day and will want to give us a bloody nose. Bristol City will be the harder of the two. Proved we have a big enough and good enough squad to compete without putting out anywhere near our strongest team.

I expect a similar line up as the side that beat Everton

I think we will be OK as long as we get better luck with injuries.  We just need to have at least 1 senior player in midfield, 1 or 2 in central defence and 1 or 2 front men with Adrian in goal we ready to go.  With this sort of team the younger players gain much more experience.  We have a few coming back soon.  It would be nice to have Lovren and Matip for the next game in about 3 weeks.

      Players we've been without recently
      Kieta
      Ox
      Shaq
      Fabinho
      Lovern
      Matip
I certainly think having either Matip or Lovern (or both) along with Fabinho and Shaquri isn't out of the equation. Actually could be getting healthy at a good point in all honesty. Got through the rough period with max points and another trophy and are getting cover players back for extra cup ties. Along with the addition of Mini and the prospect the kids are showing I think we could see MORE than just one of Hendo's signature trophy lifts in the remainder of this season.

Can see klopp mostly sticking to same team again. depending on Injuries etc.

Why not, maybe be able to have a stronger bench if needed.

If we can beat Everton then surely we can beat Bristol City or f**king Shrewsbury, I don't care how motivated they are, our lads will be even more motivated and better quality!
Wouldn't mind a slightly stronger central defence though but by then surely we'll have Lovren and/or Matip back, plus we can maybe sprinkle in one or two more senior players or at least have them on the bench.

I mean, if we were talking recovered players as well, we could start an 11 of
      Adrian
      Neco, Lovren, Matip, Larouci
      Fabinho, Milner/Keita, Ox
      Shaqiri, Origi, Jones.

Tough on Harvey and Pedro and leaves out Minamino as well, but Jürgen might actually start to have choices to make again when selecting an XI. What a concept!

I just didnt include Fab as I cant imagine he's a realistic option for this game. I imagine Klopp will pair the kids with the OTHER recovering players. I love that were getting healthy right now

Agreed. For all I know none are options for the game by the time it comes around. I'm just saying if Fab is healthy he still wont play in this game with the league and CL games coming up.

5 p.m. kickoff on a Sunday evening. If it's in Bristol that's gotta be at least a 5-hour trip from Merseyside. Good to know the Premier League aren't the only jackasses that don't care about football fans.

5 p.m. kickoff on a Sunday evening. If it's in Bristol that's gotta be at least a 5-hour trip from Merseyside. Good to know the Premier League aren't the only jackasses that don't care about football fans.

the FA see Football fans as cash cows nothing more. Lets hope it is Shrewsbury and hour or so away. TV and the FA are the worst possible combination for real Fans

The official site had a brief article on this result and said we haven't played them since 1994 in the same competition.

      OOPS!

That was Bristol City. Someone was expecting a different result.  :f_whistle:

Love watching an FA Cup game against a lower league side.

Lots of players coming back from injury that will need game time. A mix of youth and experience for this one should see us through. Something like below perhaps:

      Adrian

      Williams
      Matip
      Lovren
      Larouci

      Chirivella
      Lallana
      Jones

      Elliott
      Origi
      Minamino

Yes. Although he wasn't in training today. There's nothing to that Italy transfer talk is there?

Otherwise I would say Shaq for Harvey and Fabinho for Pedro. It might be the first start for both of them following injury.

FFS do we have to mention that b***ard game, still remember it, taking my younger brother on the standing kop for his one and only game on there and the absolute dogshit performance from us that did for Souness.

Last time we faced Shrewsbury in the FA Cup away from home we got to the final!

That's the BBC not the FA, if it wasn't on TV it would be a 3pm KO.

They seem to be having a mixed season at the moment. We should easily beat them, although anything can happen in the cup.

Sure, but the BBC can't switch it without the FA allowing as part of the contract.

And that ship has sailed decades ago, I know.

I'm unsure how it works, but I guess the TV company, Sky/BT/Amazon/BBC can do what they want, but as you said, the FA/EPL only want the money, only the rozzers can change a KO time
