Finally a decent draw for us, we should be able to go through comfortably with yesterday's team.

Bloody hell, actually a lower league opposition.
At one point I thought we were going to get City away and when they were drawn I expected to see ball 12 follow....but in hindsight the FA wouldn’t allow that to happen, might upset City knowing that they’d then be going out in the 4th round.

Take that draw all day. Hopefully we'll have a bit more senior cover back by the time the game kicks in

      Here we go again.

Rest 11, I say. Games three days before and after. The kids who beat a Premier League team last night can do it again.

Could be tricky. Whoever gets thru will be on a big pay day and will want to give us a bloody nose. Bristol City will be the harder of the two. Proved we have a big enough and good enough squad to compete without putting out anywhere near our strongest team.

I expect a similar line up as the side that beat Everton

I think we will be OK as long as we get better luck with injuries.  We just need to have at least 1 senior player in midfield, 1 or 2 in central defence and 1 or 2 front men with Adrian in goal we ready to go.  With this sort of team the younger players gain much more experience.  We have a few coming back soon.  It would be nice to have Lovren and Matip for the next game in about 3 weeks.

      Players we've been without recently
      Kieta
      Ox
      Shaq
      Fabinho
      Lovern
      Matip
I certainly think having either Matip or Lovern (or both) along with Fabinho and Shaquri isn't out of the equation. Actually could be getting healthy at a good point in all honesty. Got through the rough period with max points and another trophy and are getting cover players back for extra cup ties. Along with the addition of Mini and the prospect the kids are showing I think we could see MORE than just one of Hendo's signature trophy lifts in the remainder of this season.

Can see klopp mostly sticking to same team again. depending on Injuries etc.

Why not, maybe be able to have a stronger bench if needed.

If we can beat Everton then surely we can beat Bristol City or f**king Shrewsbury, I don't care how motivated they are, our lads will be even more motivated and better quality!
Wouldn't mind a slightly stronger central defence though but by then surely we'll have Lovren and/or Matip back, plus we can maybe sprinkle in one or two more senior players or at least have them on the bench.

Ox, Shaq, and Matip healthy is a great added bonus to this game. Let's hope Lovern and Kieta can get healed in time as well.

I mean, if we were talking recovered players as well, we could start an 11 of
      Adrian
      Neco, Lovren, Matip, Larouci
      Fabinho, Milner/Keita, Ox
      Shaqiri, Origi, Jones.

Tough on Harvey and Pedro and leaves out Minamino as well, but Jürgen might actually start to have choices to make again when selecting an XI. What a concept!

I just didnt include Fab as I cant imagine he's a realistic option for this game. I imagine Klopp will pair the kids with the OTHER recovering players. I love that were getting healthy right now

Agreed. For all I know none are options for the game by the time it comes around. I'm just saying if Fab is healthy he still wont play in this game with the league and CL games coming up.

Either way were lifting the FA cup in May

This game is a must for Mini and other players coming back from injury or have had little game time which is why it is important  to go as far as we can

5 p.m. kickoff on a Sunday evening. If it's in Bristol that's gotta be at least a 5-hour trip from Merseyside. Good to know the Premier League aren't the only jackasses that don't care about football fans.

the FA see Football fans as cash cows nothing more. Lets hope it is Shrewsbury and hour or so away. TV and the FA are the worst possible combination for real Fans

The official site had a brief article on this result and said we haven't played them since 1994 in the same competition.

      OOPS!

That was Bristol City. Someone was expecting a different result.  :f_whistle:
