Will Son play? He's a massive threat we have to extinguish, quickly!

He is but only if he's allowed time on the ball. Press him, close down on him and he's less effective. Will run at you at pace, he's had success against a few but we know what he's about and will shut him down.

Dele the Diver is overrated but he's as sly as they come. Good at the 'trailing leg' con and the exaggerate fall when he feels any touch in or around the box. Toned it down a bit since VAR came in but will still try anything he thinks he can get away with.

n.b. Trailing leg con. Go past a player, drag your trailing leg against the defenders leg or foot and pull...over you go.."penalty ref"...

Then diving Lamela and the AR con their way to another pen which Kane scores to give Spurs an undeserved draw.

From memory, not sure it was that undeserved on the balance of play, as they were all over us in the 2nd half.

Full strength with Origi, Ox & Minamino in the second half.
That's giving the team great options off the bench.

He's being assessed by the medical staff -

      Quote
Liverpool were left sweating on the fitness of James Milner on Sunday night after the midfielder was taken injured during their FA Cup third round win over Everton at Anfield.

Milner was one of just two players retained by Jürgen Klopp from Thursday’s Premier League win over Sheffield United, with Joe Gomez also starting.

But the 34-year-old lasted just nine minutes and was replaced by youngster Yasser Larouci after appearing to pick up a hamstring injury.

Milner will be assessed by Liverpool’s medical department over the coming days in order to learn the full extent of the injury.

“He has pain, that says it’s serious,” Klopp said. “It’s [his] muscle.

“Let’s start with the negative things. Two players started the last game and one got injured. That’s the situation we are in.

“That’s why a lot of managers make changes. It’s nothing to do with the Cup, it’s the timing.”

Liverpool are currently lacking options in midfield, with Fabinho yet to return from an ankle injury and Naby Keita sidelined with a groin problem.

Elsewhere, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and Xherdan Shaqiri are all unavailable through injury with a league trip to Tottenham Hotspur in six days.

But Klopp can count on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain once again, as the 26-year-old returned from an ankle problem to make an appearance off the bench.

We can cope without Milner for a few games, Lallana playing well, and now Ox & Shaq back in the mix, and Fab will be fit in a week or 2.

And the young guys can cover LB & RB.

Looking like almost a fully fit squad going in February.

I wonder just how much we'll be seeing of Takumi Minamino over these next four months until end of season. It's not unusual for new guys to take a while to blend in and Jürgen always talks about how much he values the preseason programme. Not saying he'll never be in the 18 or anything, but I think our expectations for him may want to focus on the beginning of next season.

Yep this is what I think it will be as well.

Only possible change I see is maybe Minamoto instead of Ox, bit of an unknown quantity type of thing for 60 minutes then on comes the Ox.
