;D yeah its hardly a derby with utd in this kind of form and with half of team injured but still i doubt this will be an easy game and i always like getting the bragging rights after those matches.

United is never a derby game mate, Everton is the derby

You have to wonder if the size of the gap starts playing on peoples minds.

Absolutely incredible that with only just over half a season played we can lose 6 games and win the title.

Must be very different for Klopp in the sense that we don't need to 'overcome the odds' and it's all about focus and concentration.  I doubt even he pictured this scenario back in August.

Its a good point, it must be tricky to maintain the players focus when the lead is so big but if anyone can then Klopp can and we still need to win 11 games to ensure the league title.

They're sh*te with a terrible coach so let's put on a show today.

I always still get a little nervous about this game but the gulf in class between us and them is enormous and I can't see anything other than 3 points for us.

Only selection dilemma is who plays in midfield with Hendo and Gini and I'd go with Lallana. The rest picks itself.

Apart from El Classico I don't think there's another game in Europe which comes close

Biggest watched (club) football match on the planet I think - 3 or 4 times more viewers than the Superbowl!

Thing is gap might become so big that he could rotate massively around champions  league and FA cup . Would love for us to get the Treble and with the gap as it is this can only help

At the possible expense of setting Premier League records and things.  Plus I don't think our set of players really react well to having big breaks between games.  I think they thrive on the constant competitive nature - last season was sort of testament to that.  That Barcelona win sandwiched between an almighty title race.

Anyway, I'm probably just being greedy - just find this massive gap incredible.  I suppose the most similar thing is 2017/18 when Man City stormed away and (maybe through lack of competition) got dumped out the FA Cup in R5 and the CL in the QF.  Just hope we can plot a different course and retain the intensity and ambition in the players.

Back to todays game.  Gone 4-1 in the Prediction League!

I think with what happened domestically last season the lads won't be leaving any room for complacency. It does feel strange seeing us head and shoulders above everybody else after decades spent mostly as an underdog

The CL final in the summer would have been great experience for the team, the biggest game in club football which they went into as clear favourites & got the job done professionally. Since then we've seemed to cope with the pressure and expectation amazingly whereas there was a few occasions in the league last season where we looked a bit like rabbits in the headlights & maybe didn't stamp our authority on certain games. Different story this season

That time of the year again, f**king hate playing United. Bar the odd performance we've underperformed for years against them.

the only thing i can add, is that the last time we had this kind of poor form against them (1 win in 11 prem), we were winning titles and European Cups, just couldn't beat these. F***ing Stapleton, Whiteside, Robson - every single one of them used to score in 1-0 wins.

However, i would take the pots over beating these lot.

How football change so quickly when you have a proper manager.

this is their last chance for glory this season just beating us would be like winning a major trophy that's how far they have fallen and continue to do so. I am normally weary of the way UTD set up against us of late but this side we have now can face any size of bus they bring and find a way past it. If we play our very best it could be humiliating for them if we don't we will find a way to win.

I remember through the 80’s when they were sh*te they always used to manage to get a result against us so even though right now there is a big gap I don’t feel confident

So just get a win - don’t care if it’s a sloppy 1 nil just get the three points and move on

Naby out I believe but Fab and Matip should make the bench which has been quite exposed of late.
