What makes that impressive to me is we must be among the league leaders, perhaps far and away, in forcing other teams to relinquish possession. I remember reading an article early in Klopp's tenure about the attention given in training to certain tackling techniques for winning the ball back without fouling (one in particular involved overtaking a player from behind and Bobby, Lallana and Emre Can were especially good at it). Of course this is also speaks to our methods of pressing, something we've all gotten somewhat accustomed to if we're paying attention - not just an all-out rush but a pattern of shutting off space and options.

I suppose with that in mind we end up intercepting passes more than winning the ball in tackles, but I still think given our intensity  when we don't have the ball, the foul statistic is pretty remarkable.
