They did, they deserved the draw. Think we'll beat them at Anfield, though!
We were lucky to get the draw they played well , as you say think we will do them at anfield that was their final

But we didn’t have mostly kids on there were a lot of senior players out there , lovren back to his usual performance only looks ok alongside Virgil I know he’s been out but even that doesn’t excuse how poor he was today
He was poor and Matip no bette but
Origi was a shambles his attitude off the ball so Lazy , making no runs and tracking back generally looked like he couldn't be arsed

Shower of sh*t that. Lovren, Matip and Fabinho in particular were diabolical.

Only player that can hold his head up after that embarrassment is Adrian. Kept us in that first half especially.

Kids or no kids they've had our pants down there and we'll have to take it on the chin.

No winter break now and a few holidays may be about to be cancelled.

Deserved the result though, we weren't on it at all and they were. A bit of a reality check for a few of the youngsters and perhaps no bad thing. The real mess though was in the spine of the team with Matip, Lovren and Fab. I'll let it slide as they are coming back from injuries bit I have a feeling in a few instances it was carelessness.

Whichever way you square it, a bad result and another game and the only one who will come away smiling from that will be Joe Gomez who's spot has been well and truly cemented for the run in.

I do want to win this cup and theres not much reason to throw it away without trying all out should we progress in the replay and we keep winning in the league.

Looks like the Boss is well pissed off with everybody. Can't blame him. Second half was nearly as bad as Everton were in the last round. Williams and Jones did well. Lovren and Fabinho were poor but for whatever reason they all just lost interest after the own goal.

Kinda stunned at how bad the second half was. We were pathetic. Can understand some rust but the senior players were dreadful.
Lovren for that second..... F**k me.

I think they realised we were there for the taking.
Course It’s not a big deal, but it’s a pain in the ass.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It's difficult to win the game. We don't have enough time to say all the things which weren't right today.

"We scored a really good goal but apart from that, Adrian had absolutely too much to do. He was brilliant. The counter-attacks they had when we lost the ball...

"They slowed the game down in their formation and we lost the ball in the wrong moments. It just didn't look like it was 2-0 [to Liverpool] on the pitch. It looked like we were 2-1 down.

"But well deserved for Shrewsbury, it was the minimum they deserved. Congratulations to them."

A real sh*t show of a performance that and many of the senior players more at fault than any others at times.

It'll be an even younger team for the replay or a few senior players to get minutes in their legs but I still expect to go through.

Lovren, Matip and Fabinho played like three players who haven't played football in quite a while.

Origi done his usual disappearing act when called upon to lead from the start. Just a good job Adrian was on it from the start otherwise we'd be out.

I’d almost forgotten how to react after a draw!

Lucky it was only that as they really deserved to win it. We’re a bit fortunate to still be in the draw. You’d fancy us to progress with the replay at Anfield but the lads will have to play a lot better. You could only really pick out Adrian for a 90 minute performance today. Jones and Pedro has good 1st half but both faded. Was really disappointed with Origi as this game should have been made for him.

Thought the senior lads let us down tonight. Obviously Lovren had his howler & Origi was pretty poor. Matip weren't at his best also but that can be excused with him just coming back from injury

Not too bothered though, pretty sure we'll do them at Anfield. Shouldn't be too hard to get tickets either so hopefully be able to get down with a few mates

Anybody know what dates the replays are scheduled for?

But it's part of the education for the younger players. Give some credit to the Shrews here. They used the own goal as a catalyst a little bit. The lesson there is don't switch off and if teams shoot themselves in the foot...put them to the sword..

Sometime between the 1st and 15th of February during the winter break. We play on the 1st at 3pm against Southampton and 5:30 on the 15th against Norwich. Probably the weekend of the 8th/9th.

Well the second half never exploded into life for us like I expected, apart from the own goal. Poor passing, poor movement off the ball, and holding onto the ball too long due to limited options.  Senior players didn’t seem to like being out there with kids and league 1 oppo.
Trying to stroll through the game showing how superior they were.
Well disappointed with that, but fair play to Shrews for having a go, and not bring overawed.
Think we need to play full strength for the replay to prevent them getting anything of a foothold. Rest players when it’s won.
Failing that there’s every chance we could lose it. Shrews will be really up for it and will now have a dream to play out.
Unless of course this cup is not important to us 🤷‍♂️

      What’s the issue..?

We drew & now play back at Anfield.. Our senior players coming back from injury expected to turn up & pick up from their pre injury form..? Give me a break..

Had a full strength team started and one of our key players got injured their would be moaning non stop.
