Disappointing showing but for some of them the replay will be more playing time for them going forward but annoying that given the gift of a OG so early in the 2nd half we didn't run away with it and put our foot down. We simply sat back and they took to us.

No senior players will be playing as well

Looks like the Boss is well pissed off with everybody. Can't blame him.

Wanted that rest period during the winter break, replay will be played in the middle of that week.

Senior players won't be involved, I bet even the bench will be mainly kids.

Club shouldn't be charging any more than £10 a ticket for the replay then. General sale & the match shouldn't count as a credit

      Well that sucked!

Lovren put in his best effort to get his best mate on the pitch and got his wish.

Not the end of the world, I can't imagine Klopp will be too happy with that group of players after letting it slip like that, so even if we do go with the same starting 11 at Anfield I expect us to go through.

Adrian put in a great performance again! Been some time since I have had this amount of confidence in both our keepers.

When we went two nil up, thought they started pressing us high and we were passing it around at the back and making mistakes and giving them some hope.
Larouci was poor on the nite, and our front three were poor also, Matip and Lovren had no long out ball when under pressure, no runners in the channels, and when they did hit front guys with long balls, Minamino/Elliot/Origi were poor and lost it.
Elliot has lots of potential but looked like a kid today playing a mans game.
Gave away the peno, crowd got up, Lovren lets the guy in for number 2.

Anyway, I'm only frustrated cause it's another bloody game in the schedule.
That was their BIGGEST game in Gods knows how long.
We had lots of changes, two CBs coming back from a long stint out injured, and Fab too who's been out and looked rusty. ALL EXPECTED.
Kids went missing a bit in the 2nd half, but they're kids!

Matip, Lovren and Fab came through it with no tweaks, and everyone got a good run out. Will stand to them.
We'll roll them over in the return.
But focus is back on the main course, WH midweek ...

Why can we not play senior players in replay on advice of premier league ? Surely if a replay is booked for them dates you can play whatever team you want not just toss it off and play all kids

I thought we had decided ourselves not to play the seniors, rather than it being a Premier League decision?

Hard to believe that team beat Everton, that was as pathetic a 2nd half as I've seen in a long time, lost every single challenge, hardly a single attack, awful defending, just utter sh*t and the performances were embarassing.
Anyway we should beat them in a replay but I wouldn't play any of our first XI in that game, if the reserves can't play well enough to beats the mighty Shrewsbury at home then we deserve to be knocked out.

Klopp isn't going to manage the replay and no senior players. What an absolute F***ing joke. Obviously hasn't learned from our previous mid season jollies. Hope the club price the game accordingly but I am sure the money grabbing cu*ts at Shrewsbury will have their say

      What ?!

It’s a mid season break and wants the players to be refreshed for the big sh*t - the league and CL , not the FA Cup

I wonder if we are going to here more about this Premier League letter, because it seems very unlikely to me that they will be saying we can't use certain players for a Cup replay. My guess is that Jürgen is planning to take them somewhere warm for a training camp and doesn't want to leave them behind.

Aldo just pointed this out on LFC TV but I agree, why would Matip, Lovren and Origi need a winter break? If Keita and Lallana and Milner can get back fit by the time of the replay date, they should be playing in it, not off on some holiday.

Klopp is sort of taking a stance because he feels the FA scheduling replay during winter break period is wrong and the senior players deserve their rest.
