      Did you hear Tyler after Mane scored "VAR works for Liverpool"... What a bitter git, the best part about all this isn't ending a 30 year wait it's knowing how peed off and jealous the rest of the country is. As much as I hate Man Utd when they were in their pomp they were good, not many want to give us much credit..

      34 wins and one draw from the last 35 games.

      Liverpool's greatest ever team?

      And I cant remember the last time we played to our full capacity either. Even the 4-0 v Saints was ropey.

      Saying this as a positive not a negative.

      I love Sadio he looks a real cheeky chap he has a glint in his eye. We are going to have to think of some more exciting terms for this team.
      Win the league first before we start getting into the realms of best ever we have had a few good team you know some Bloke called Bob did quite well

      Can’t believe they even needed to check the Mane goal, his arm barely touched the defender who as it goes, fell to the ground about 5 seconds later. After not giving anything for the 2 man take down on Virgil, they couldn’t rule this goal out for that.

      The Bournemouth match may have been the closest I’ve seen.   Now bring on those spanish c#nts.  Which reminds me,  this is always good for a laugh

      @oilysailor
      486 out of 546 teams in PL history have ended the season with fewer points than Liverpool have after 26 games, including **for the first time in this seemingly endless thread** a PL title winning side: Manchester United in 1996-97

      Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson talking to Sky Sports: "They caused us a few problems but overall I thought it was another good performance and we got the goal to get us the three points.

      "I managed to go a little bit further forward once Fabinho came on. They are dangerous on the counter-attack so you've got to be aware of protecting against that too. I had a few half chances to assist or get a goal but it was tough conditions today, we've got to be delighted with the result.

      "When it's windy it always affects the game, but its the same for both teams, you've just to get on with it. There's still things we can improve. We've got to get ready for another big game in midweek now.

      "You're probably bored of me saying it but we're one step closer, it's just about focusing on the next game. We've just got to keep doing what we've been doing all season, never change that."

      Liverpool forward Sadio Mane speaking to Sky Sports: "It was not easy because as a football player you want to play all the time. I go for treatment, work hard and come back and in the same time I saw the team and the boys doing a great job."

      Did he foul Christoph Zimmermann in the build-up to the goal? "I don’t think so. A little push is normal in football."

      On closing in on the Premier League title: "It was the target from the beginning and we are doing very well. We will do everything possible as a team to carry on the same way."

      Mane's goal was similar to the Firmino chance in the first half, coming down from a long ball.Firmino great control but his shot was blocked whereas Mane just created enough space and put his foot thru it...great finish from a speculative ball by Hendo.

      @OptaJoe

      10/11 - Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in 10 of their last 11 Premier League matches, this after having only kept one shutout in their previous 11 such games before this. Wall.

      @OptaJoe
      17 - Liverpool have won 17 Premier League games in a row, matching their best ever winning streak in league football last set between March - October 2019, and just one shy of Manchester City’s all-time English top-flight record of 18 between August and December 2017. Imperious.

      @OptaJoe

      35 - Liverpool have scored in 35 consecutive Premier League games - only Arsenal (55 games between May 2001 – November 2002) and Man United (36 games between December 2007 – November 2008) have been on a longer such runs in the competition’s history. Unstoppable. #NORLIV

      @OptaJoe

      100 - Sadio Mane's opener for Liverpool was his 100th goal for English clubs across all competitions (75 for Liverpool and 25 for Southampton). Breakthrough. #NORLIV

      If you’re suggesting this is the best Liverpool side ever, you don’t just look st teams of the past, but the quality of their opponents as well.
      Just a thought 😊 I’m still on the fence 😂

      The Ref was somewhat fussy for no apparent reason he didn't like Trent did he. At this rate I am going to have to start saving for the parade its going to be a long day.

      Ray Clemence at his peak was just an incredible goalkeeper still holds the record for a 42 game season.
      Ali has more to his game as good as Clem was I wouldn't swap him for anyone

      FT: Norwich 0-1 Liverpool

      Alisson is the first goalkeeper to keep 10 clean sheets in the Premier League this season.

      He’s made 18 appearances.

      it would be hard to name a player who isn't on the same level they are just so relentless most referees would stop the match if it were two boxers most teams come of dazed after playing us
