Yes they should but they have been sh*t and now they have 2 victories

I’m sure they’ve won back to back games this season before this last week. It’s hardly anything to write home about.

They won their first three in a row and won four in a row in December.

Not to be a dick but it would be one incredible season to win this and the league, but if we fall short at any stage of this cup nothing should detract from the domestic season, and our achievement in it.

We should be going into this game feeling very comfortable with where we find ourselves, and it is Atleti who need this to salvage their season.

I think Anfield will be all over these, and if we play the game and not get caught up in their frustrating tactics we can blow these wide open.

Bigger and better than Atleti have come here to camp on their goal line and been sent packing in the past.

It’s not like beating us is some sudden miracle to them being able to win consecutive games then.

I love how we lure clubs on a European football night at Anfield into a false sense of security..😎

If we give them a reception like city got, without the coach bashing, they'll wonder what the f**k they've got themselves in to.

Back in time for Palace, when we are scheduled to win the league.

Depends on how we get on against Chelsea, get past them and Palace game gets postponed for the FA cup quarters

Can you imagine if tens of thousands lined the way and everybody just stared silently at Atletico's bus as it passed, transitioning to a nonstop cauldron of noise as they walk into the stadium? That would be powerful.

      Welcome to Anfield.

The return leg of this tie cannot come soon enough for me.  They frustrated the life out of us in Madrid, with the ref being a bit of a "homer"!

Let's get the Kop rocking, get into them from the off, contest every ball, every decision and pass & move till they get f###ing dizzy!

Massive match, massive challenge, massive European night at Anfield; just what this group of players was built for.

      COME ON YOU MIGHTY REDS!!!

This match will be decided by our midfield, if they are fully into this and play positively driving forwards etc then we win, if they sit back and play to patiently then I think we might be a bit of bother.
BTW do we think we can keep them from scoring, West Ham apart our recent defensive record is incredible, but I just feel they'll either fluke or con their way to another goal, so that we have to score 3, which we are more than capable of.
