Politics is all so cyclical. Tories this time around lucked out with the vaccine roll out, never mind the 127,000 dead, you could never accuse the Brits of being selfish 🙄.

Add on probably the biggest ever socialist injection of cash to keep people employed and the main stream media are creaming over the fact that the Tories have spent over £100B to buy one seat in Hartlepool.

The average Brit has for what ever reason lurched over to the right but even the the thick idiots who voted Tory will realise eventually they have been conned, while those in power have taken them to the cleaners.

Hope your happy paying your taxes to cover those lost years while they are smoking their Cuban cigars!

I don't think they will realise.

All the BBC voxpops I've seen over the last few years have shone the most depressing light into large parts of the midlands and northern England. The towns.

Without exception the people interviewed came across as completely witless, living pointless existences. i'm sure that sounds harsh but they just parroted sh*te they'd obviously heard on the telly hundreds of times.

"Oo that Jeremy Corbyn and his anti-mechanisms."
"Oo yes, terrible. Our Fred used to be a mechanic."

Yes Corbyn was a tw*t, in that he couldn't seem to take on board that opinion polls showed him to be even less popular among the British public than Adolf Hitler, and step down so someone less polarising could have a go, but these voxpoppers didn't even know why he was supposed to be terrible. They'd just heard it on the telly.

I don't think a lot of these people are capable of realising anything. That would suggest they had brains. They're so thick I don't even think they should be allowed to vote.

I don't think England has been this politically illiterate since the Labour Party came into existence. It's like these wretches can't actually twig how badly they're being exploited unless they've got a union leader sitting there tearing his or her hair out, trying to explain to them why they shouldn't accept 20p an hour for working a 12-hour day and then pay £2.50 to their Tory buy-to-let landlord when they get home.

I didn’t even bother voting last week.
We have a labour councillor who only appears during election time and then disappears.
We have no Tory or Lib Dem councillor at all, yet they still got some votes.
And we have an independent local party who’s councillor is constantly getting arrested and getting involved in heated debates on social media. He actually won again.

And I know people fought in the past for us to have the right to vote, but if they could see then what a farce it is now, they probably wouldn’t have bothered. I weighed it all up and decided against wasting 20 minutes of my life voting for clowns.

Dominic Cummings stuff yesterday had a lovely bit of needle to it all.  Blue on blue action always tends to be the most vicious.

Not sure we learned anything a lot of us with half a brain didn't already know.  England is run by incompetent charlatans who are happy to bend the truth at will and have little regard for the people they are supposed to represent.

Any population that elects Boris Johnson to be it's First Minister, the man expected to ensure their lives are healthy and prosperous, deserves everything they get.

Gonna be fascinating to see how the English establishment go about the Great Covid Cover-Up. They succeeded with 96 Liverpool fans but can they succeed with over 100,000 Covid deaths?

Boris Johnson stands accused of unnecessarily killing tens of thousands of his own people. What levers are the establishment going to pull to ensure he gets off scot free?

He'll get away with it of course. It's just a question of how low the establishment have to stoop in order to get him off; how many bits of evidence they're allowed to doctor before it becomes perverting the course of justice (A: all the evidence!).

Unfortunately I believe government ministers are exempt from prosecution under UK law. Now there's a surprise.

Putting the football and rivalries to one side, I have to say I continue to be so impressed by these England lads.

      Fearless, intelligent, wanting change.

No wonder Boris is running scared of Rashford and co.

Government politicians naturally hate footballers.  They are working class people with money.  Boris Johnson needing handouts to get his flat refurbished, saying he is struggling on a couple of hundred grand a year and then the Rashfords of this world earning that in a couple of weeks.

It goes against everything that the UK class system stands for.  If Daddy sends you to Eton then you should naturally have a richer life than a lad growing up on a council estate.

      They must absolutely hate it.

In light of Boris' admission regarding Thatcher I wonder when he's gonna praise Norman Tebbitt as the inspiration for the Olympic track cycling golds.

"I won't be giving any interviews with The Sun during the course of this campaign"

Haha what a shithouse. That's going to be his excuse isn't it - I only said I wouldn't give interviews with them during that particular campaign 😂

this is how the money has been shared out for transport improvements we get new batteries and a tin of paint whilst GT Manchester get new new new.

      Gt Manchester
      Next generation Metrolink tram-train vehicles

New bus corridors and interchanges in Ashton-Under-Lyne and Bury.

Creating a 140-mile active travel network across Greater Manchester

      Liverpool City Region

Battery packs for new Merseyrail trains to expand the reach of the existing network

New and rejuvenated stations in Liverpool and Runcorn

A multimodal interchange in St Helens to link housing, employment and developable land

We have over 15 MP's in the Liverpool and surrounding areas about time the formed an independent group and when the next Gov has a small Majority they may have some clout but at present as in the past Liverpool gets nothing but scraps regardless of who is in power
