Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool: In game and Post Match discussion
      Mar 03, 2020 06:30:53 pm

Stamford Bridge waiting to be conquered in FA Cup

Starting XI: Adrian, Williams, Van Dijk, Gomez, Robertson, Fabinho, Lallana, Jones, Minamino, Mane, Origi.

Subs: Lonergan, Milner, Firmino, Salah, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Matip, Chirivella.

Liverpool make seven changes for tonight’s FA Cup fifth-round tie with Chelsea.

Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Fabinho and Andy Robertson retain their places from Saturday’s starting line-up at Watford as Jürgen Klopp elects to bring in fresh faces for the Stamford Bridge fixture.

Joe Gomez is back in defence after recovering from the knock that ruled him out at Vicarage Road, while there are also starts for Adrian, Adam Lallana, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi.

I'm OK with that team, strong defence and good midfield and attack.

I'm excited to see what Minamino does. Also glad to see Williams get the nod and Jones too.

Decent team. Should have gone with one or two more seniors though.

Looks a decent positive side if not full strength. Let’s hope they can pull it off.
Only neg, might be do they have s good understanding having not played much together.  Do you get that in training ?
Anyway, enough there for me to predict a win 😁 Come on you red men, put these rent boys to the sword, and show them we’ve been bitten, we are angry, and we’re coming for you ! 0:2

The team is the team and it's what we will go to battle with.

Big ask but theirs a chance we may win the midfield battle here where they look a little light on enforcers in there.

Expecting a wide open game and hoping we can come out of it on top. Tough ask this though in all honesty.

I know he will be back in at weekend but I dont think Bobby could grumble about being benched. Hes having another quiet spell that he always seems to go through before pi ling up for the end of the season.

Really good team selection that and great bench,Williams in the starting line up is fully deserved as he’s been the stand out in the cup this season.

Midfield looks a bit light weight with Jones and Lallana plus Fab has not really hit top form post injury.

      Shouldn’t Alonso be suspended?

We’ve gone stronger than I expected in defence. Thought Matip would be in for Virgil alongside Gomez and Milly at LB.

Hope to see a significant improvement tonight in performance and attitude.

Don’t have an issue with that team.

Surprised to see Lovren dropped completely though.

Actions speak louder than words from Klopp on that issue it seems.

Obviously keen to see how Jones and Williams get on. Playing in close to a first team line up. One game doesn't obviously define them but still. Like Minamino gets a start as well. Very strong bench as well.

It was Jorginho who was suspended, I guess it only counts for the league. He also misses their second leg against Bayern for being booked in the first leg, Alonso misses that as well due to suspension.

We know Williams can play but can he defend as well. Chelsea are a busy team, quick witted, snappy. Lets see how Williams gets on. Great prospect for us.

Think there's enough there.Fabio and Lallana won't have to look after Jones. This lad has a touch of arrogance about him but in a good way. Confident and has the bottle for the job. Lallana looks to be positive and has a trick or three.
