Shanks with his socialist principles would have told them where they could stick it. I doubt Bob would have wanted the fuss. I think the suggestion that an award for the King would be as much about an award for Lady Marina are right but if that's the case she deserves it in her own right!
Ps maybe Ribapuru thinks the King moonlights as a P D James detective?
Sorry for quoting so old a post, but I was dogpiled on another Liverpool forum for daring to suggest that Paisley might have refused a knighthood if offered one - apparently this was offensive? Saying that, it was a forum full of bedwetters and conspiracy theorists who got offended by everything I posted.
