We go with what we have and we get behind the lads and Anfield will understand tomorrow they have a massive role to play by making it as noisy as possible and to sing their hearts out 3 points is all that matters not the league not the performance not the number of goals just the 3 points

Exactly, get any win tomorrow and then next Wednesday Atletico have to come to the most daunting away ground in all of Europe!

How many clean sheets did we have with Adrian in goal?

We've not kept a clean sheet with Alisson available for the last four matches. Alisson is the better goalkeeper and has more clean sheets overall, but even with him we've conceded.

yeah constipation is a bugger one extra push and bingo you pop a muscle. Once again its a timely reminder these lads are human beings and can and will break down from time to time. Adrian did a cracking job for us and the Chelsea game will have been a blessing now to get him back into a game mentality.

How the F**k does a GK get fatigued??

I was talking more in general about the team and muscle issues.

That's true, but I now think we will need to score at least 3 goals on Wednesday

The doomsday preppers are out on Twitter already in response to the Alisson news. Just spent 20 minutes of my lunch arguing with some lad who said there's no point even turning up against Atletico now.

On the funnier side, I'm going the game with my girlfriend tomorrow and she absolutely loves Alisson (more so for his dashing good looks than his goalkeeping ability), so I'm looking forward to her reaction after I've dropped this bombshell on her... Could possibly end up with a spare if anybody's about  :lmao:

Yes he sits on his arse all day at Melwood drinking tea,  the drills the goalkeepers do are not for the faint hearted they have to be incredibly fit and have immense core strength

Guys, we won all our games with Adrian in the beginning so I'm not that worried. I do not care at the moment for Wednesday, we need to win tomorrow.

We do have to worry about conceding away goals as well as winning on Wednesday, but I reckon we'll see another classic European night at Anfield.

It's alright once you weed out all of the bad virgins who get their footballing knowledge from Playstation games. Easier said than done, though

Yes we did and of those games how many clean sheets did we have? Remember that if Ateltico score just one goal then we need to score at least 3, we would need to win by a 2 goal margin. Is that possible, yes sure it is, but would I feel more confident with Alisson in goal compared to Adrian, ermm yes I would!

We scored 4 against Barca without Firmino and Salah with Origi as striker.

We won quite a few games with him at the start of the season and he's generally a very good goalkeeper, even Alisson has made mistakes before.

Adrian, he kept the ship steady for what 7 games??? We will be fine, defense has to be sharp and its toes, that's all. My only thing with Adrian, and i'm not a GK, is that he sometimes seems to rush the ball into play, where taking a second or two, and address whats in front of him. I'm I seeing wrong there?

Yes but look at our form then compared to now. Adrian wouldn’t have played under this pressure before, especially the pressure of Atletico.
Adrian comes into this game on the back of probably his worst performance for us.
