Aagh! Sh*t result for a really good performance. Should have gone through, but a back up goalie is more likely to f**k up than a 1st choice and that was the difference. Shame for Adrian, shame for us. At least we went down fighting and playing well.

I get that there’s obviously a difference between expectations surrounding a keeper like Alisson and a keeper like Adrian but come on, it was a simple kick of the ball. The ball was even rolling to him, it couldn’t have been any easier to clear it

Thought the Milner move for Ox was the right one. Ox was fading a bit defensively and Milner was damn good when he came on.

We’ve been poor since the break and deserved the defeats we were given. Tonight is going to stick though because the team played so well and then one player changed all of that.

Miserable end to the game and I know we look good for the league but our exit at this stage shouldn’t have happened and will be a point we look back on and wonder what could have been.

100 percent agree. In all honesty just wrap the league up then spend big this summer to have the quality of players and squad to contend on all fronts. Tired of rebuilding and not  reloading. Were too talented to not contend in more than two competitions at once

Oxlade-Chamberlain has hardly done 90 minutes all season and Henderson went off after 105 minutes - he's been out for about a month.

You can't criticise Klopp for bringing on fresh legs to try and get an advantage late on.

simone didnt know shitt. JK outperformed him as a coch both home and away. Did simone plan for Adrians mistake? we were the better team, JK was the better coach. a mistake and we are out.

Can’t fault our boys, they gave everything and that’s all anyone can ask, Adrian fu**ed up, But I still won’t hammer him for it, these things happen, on another night we would gone through, tonight it just didn’t happen for us.

No doubt Adrian changed the course of the result but come on from 2-0 up to losing 2-3 at home!!!

Not surprising. 2-1 was a shock and we increased pressure even more which meant more space for Atleticos fast breaks. 2-2 and 2-3 just happened because we opened the house to make it happen. No blame at all. If you fight, you can lose, if you bring the house, you can lose the house.

What a huge differences a quality goalie made tonight...

We tried, no blame to us. Stuff like Adrian could have happened to Alisson as well. Last year we were unbelievably lucky vs. Barca, this year equalizes it. Fair trade. CL & PL in consecutive years is still  . Plus, I think Jürgen and LFC will be even more motivated to improve this team to show the world what's a real competitor.

p.s. Don't bullsh*t Adrian. It was a mistake, but not a severe one, not Karius-like. It can happen. Don't be like all those other fans, show that our song means more than just words.

We’re as Adrian has made numerous howlers since he came back in & imho cost us the game tonight.

Disappointing.  When Firmino's goal went in thought we had it done.  Adrian's error though totally upset our rhythm and flattened the atmosphere.

Missed our keeper but that's the difference between a £70M keeper and a free one.  Not much else you can say.

Financial expediency appears to have fu**ed us up once again in spite of the previous F**k ups between the sticks.

Adrian was very poor for all the goals we conceded. To be fair, the defending in front of him was poor as well for the last two.
Can’t believe that happened after a performance as good as we’ve played for six weeks or so.

We were much the better side, and if Allison is in goals, we win that. Comfortably.
