Liverpool 2-3 Atletico Madrid (AET): In game and Post Match discussion
      Mar 11, 2020 06:44:24 pm

Anfield waiting for our fans to be at their best like the team needs to be

Starting XI: Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Lonergan, Fabinho, Milner, Minamino, Lallana, Origi, Matip.

Jordan Henderson starts for Liverpool in tonight’s Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid at Anfield.

The captain returns to the line-up three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in the first leg of the last-16 meeting.

Henderson replaces Fabinho in the Reds’ starting XI in one of two changes, with the other seeing Andy Robertson return at left-back.

Brave call by Klopp but the right one in my opinion that is Fabinho's recent form has been patchy.

Another European night at Anfield where we trail from the first leg, Atletico should be very wary!

Their line up looks more attacking this time.

Glad Fabinho drops to the bench but our bench looks rather underwhelming IMO. There’s no one there that I think we can turn to and realistically hope to change the game if we are desperate for a goal. Sure Origi has done it last season but it’s a fairly rare occurrence.
Think it says something when the biggest goal threat is probably Milner.

Could really have done with Shaq and Keita there.

The first leg, vs the Chavs last week, vs Watford, in the Napoli defeat. All the games he’s come on when we’ve been searching for a goal he’s failed to deliver, much like his performances as a whole this season.

Yes he done it a few times last season, moments that will never be forgotten but I think it’s safe to say he’s proven he’s not a player we can look to and think there’s a damn good chance of him changing the game or grabbing the vital goal.

If the times he’s played this season we’ve not needed him then it doesn’t fill me with confidence if we do need him tonight!

Reallllllly just need Adrian to stay in his lane and not try to overcompensate. Let things come to him. We've seen him try to do too much and it backfire.

I agree but I think it’s the right call he has been a bit off the pace since coming g back although I thought the Bournemouth game at weekend was the best he’s looked. Disappointed Keita is not fit? He’s the one player who can come off the bench and offer something g a little bit different against a deep defence

Agree . Is it injury based ? Bit worrying if he cant find a place on that bench
