Has to be remembered we've had 2 fantastic runs in the C/L so it goes tits up we have to deal with it.

Think the effort to win the league had taken the edge off one or two.

F**k all to play for now, really need to bin off away goals especially cos gonna be played behind doors

Nah they are fair but it really shouldn't count in extra time.

Can't give an extra 30 minutes to a team to get an away goal.

I think Klopp will bin Adrian off swiftly in the Summer after tonight like he did with Karius.

Ah well, guess we will just have to settle for the title.

If you offered me just that in August I would have bit your hand off. I would have said I'd take us losing every cup game 6-0 if we meant we'd end the drought. As much as tonight hurts I'm not going to let that change those thoughts. The Champions League will always have an element of being a lottery - there's a reason why Real were the exception when they won three in a row. It's full of good teams that can be ruthless and punish you if you make mistakes. We did it to Bayern and Barca last season in particular and this year Atletico have done it to us. Yeah it's F***ing painful because of the manner of it - I don't think you'll find many Liverpool performances that good that end up on the losing side but that's football. It's not science - sometimes you'll play brilliantly and lose just like sometimes this season we've been absolute sh*te but still found a way to win.

Don't let tonight make you forget that this will be one of the greatest seasons in our history. We might have won more in other seasons but this time we're ending 30 years of hurt. And that's F***ing massive.

Let's get those two wins and then try and get to 101 points to take City's record.

      COME ON YOU REDS!!!!

I'm angrier at losing our home record than going out. I know. Weird. Think it's because we won it and I'm all in for the league.

We were much the better side, and if Allison is in goals, we win that. Comfortably.

Thats how i feel about it too.

Last season we were hungry for success in the CL and nobody was stopping us from winning it, this year nobody was going to stop us winning the league either but it's harder to keep going over a league season than it is over one cup competition.

I get that there’s obviously a difference between expectations surrounding a keeper like Alisson and a keeper like Adrian but come on, it was a simple kick of the ball. The ball was even rolling to him, it couldn’t have been any easier to clear it

Oh yeah it was a shocking mistake. But all players can make them. Just saying it's more likely with a 2nd choice.

No point crucifying the guy, he's been an upgrade on Karius and (arguably) an upgrade on Migs. An absolute top class goalie is not going to come and be 2nd choice. It'll be hard for Adrian to recover from this, and probably we will get in somebody else in the summer, but in the meantime he is our back up for Alisson and there's no point hammering him.

As soon as they got that first it seemed a given they would get more IMO. When a member of your own team costs you like that after you’ve fought so hard to get that 2-0 lead it just drains you, other than putting it in your own net, an individual error in these circumstances is as bad as it can get. The team just looked spent after that.

Adrian passed that ball to the only area in front of him with their players in it for their first.

Shocking bit of football to be honest.

      Some good news though -

20 - Roberto Firmino has scored his first goal at Anfield in 20 games in all competitions, since netting vs Porto in April 2019 - 337 days ago. Overdue.

Hopefully this marks the start of him going on a run of goal scoring at Anfield.

I don't think you can read much into that.

1st goal killed both the team and the supporters and I think it would have done that to any team in the world. Always going to concede more after that.

Think its time that we promote some youngster as a second choice keeper.

wow all you fvkers moaning about Adrian you all changed your fvking tune he was the cat whiskers at the start of the season when Ali was out. Adrian cost us these 2 big games thats how it is just move on, out forward have to take some blame for not putting their chances away we win as a team and we lose as team fvking move on

We have had two and a half seasons of incredible results from this team breaking records along the way and about to be crowned EPL champions. We don't have a divine right to go to Anfield and sit back and see magic happen. They had their No.1 keeper we had our No.2 and that was the difference tonight. We could have Migs or Karius in and the result would be the same and what keeper equal to the standard of Oblak or Allison is going to sit on the bench. Losing to this shower is terrible but its not the first time we have been fu**ed over by weak Refs and opposition who have a different idea of what football actually means. Do we really want success at any cost or do we want it as tradition dictates by being the better team. We were exceptional tonight back to our very best but our weakness was exposed as would any team who couldn't put out one of their most important players. Terrible night but its the Derby next and on this performance we will tw*t them
