Unfortunately they might be the catalyst for the epl to postpone fixtures

All games go ahead as normal let's just win Monday and see where we are should be looking forward to the next week or so but feel so apprehensive

That came out before Arteta test result. Season will be suspended now for sure

I think after this, they're going to end up suspending it.

We might even get to a situation whereby they shorten the season to 32-33-34 games. It would enable the relegation and euro places to be decided and obviously that would see us crowned as champions. It’s difficult to imagine a full 38 game season being achieved? Even less likely for the championship to fit in all 44.

Emergency meeting tomorrow - will surely be a suspension of the league then.

They certainly can't declare the season void, it's just stupid and unfair.

If they want to stop the league fine, we win it and all positions stay as they currently are.

Obviously all of this is grim on every level.
Don’t see how It can be voided?

But I guess the big fear is, we’re still in this mess come May/June as was suggested today, being three months from the bloody peak!

      Why this season?! F***ing hell

I can't imagine they'll void it, too much money is involved plus how do they sort out European places and promotion/relegation?

Praying you’re right, putting all my hope in the fact Euro 2020 is supposedly being postponed to accommodate for leagues to finish

All the talk about voiding the season is ridiculous, it won’t happen. The only people saying it are those desperate for us to not win the league. If they declare the season void then the financial implications would be massive because they’d have to refund every single ticket, every single broadcasted match etc and it’s not something the Premier League would be prepared to do seeing as they haven’t a clue what to do as it is. Not to mention the uproar from teams that then miss out on promotion and things because it was voided rather than suspended.
The sensible thing is UEFA move the Euro’s to the following year and then season is finished when it finishes, be that May or July. They’d just have to push the start of next season back or have a shorter pre-season and bin off next years winter break. Given they introduced a winter break this season, there’s nothing wrong with a slightly shorter pre-season.

I also think those from teams battling relegation probably also wouldn't mind it being voided, although I don't see voiding as being likely in any way.

Otherwise though, I agree, and I do think they'll work something like that out.

Be nice to see this supposed rule book.

I’m betting there’s not a contingency that voids the season. Too much at stake and too many other things to look at. Players with performance bases incentives, do those things just get voided too? Nah, they will find a way to make the season complete.
