In all honesty a very poor way to treat hard working staff, at the lower end of the pay scale. All employees should be treated equal to say the least !

Poor show to say the least, never expected this from our club.
who ever made the decision to dip there grubby hands into the tax payer pot needs to F***ing sort it out.
Multi millionaires far & wide should have been exempt from the scheme in the first place and most definitely football players,

      Absolute disgrace this.

Klopp and all club earners over £20k a year should be giving up at least 50% of their salaries until this crisis is over to cover salaries of the staff who keep our great club running day in day out.

FSG have always been about coining it in, with our recent success most fans seem to have forgotten this.

Imagine if we didn’t have Klopp!!

I’m not signing it, yet, prepared to give the club time to reconsider their decision, however I will if they don’t change their stance. YNWA actually means something , it’s not just words!

If it's like me they will stay on the payroll mate just that the club will be reimbursed the 80% by the Government.

Not saying I agree with what's happening from the club but the staff won't be out of pocket as far as I'm aware.

fair enough if that's the case.I thought it was more of you can get ya job back when this over, but ya done till then apply to the dhss (if thats what it's called now) for the 80% and the club will throw in the rest.

With the amount of money in football, the club should be paying 100% wages.

Just goes to show all of this YNWA / LFC Family / This Means More bullshit the club spews out are nothing more than marketing jingles

Can't wait for Peter Moore's next speech about "socialism & unity", the F***ing fraud

Absolute PR disaster for the club, you'd hope they rethink this, but to be honest it'd probably look even worse for them if they did end up doing a 360

Remember when people on hear banged on about paying transfer fees saying it's not my money? Well obviously not reading this. The concept that football is primarily a business seems to escape a few people.

I think this decision from the club hints at what some were discussing after Spurs did the same, in that many football clubs, even at this level, work on very fine and precarious margins.

I get it that we are owned by billionaires and they could easily cover the wages in theory but FSG have always run the club as a business and if income isn't coming in and they have a feeling might be affected in the long term they will make a business decision.

Again I am not excusing the decision just trying to find some logic to it and to be honest still feel the best move would have been to cover the wages, at least in the short term, as the PR fallout could be huge.

Disgrace. I really LOVE Carra and Hamman coming out with their disappointment on this. I hope former players continue to do so. You cant preach YNWA and than when sh*t goes belly up allow someone else to take care of your problems. Covid is effecting everyone. Were all in this together. However, we can take care of our own, cant we?

Surely with our revenue over the past few seasons, rise in ticket prices, and deep pockets of our owners we can afford to pay workers for a few more months and allow the system to do what its designed to do, take care of those who can't fend for themselves. You cant say our club means more then follow suit with a bunch of other clubs.

Is this a good business decision? Probably! However, saving millions shouldn't override everything you say your club is instilled upon.

Can't say I'm surprised with Spurs as we all know what a tight c**t Levy is. Very surprised at Liverpool though. What the F**k goes through these white collar minds?

These owners are on millions of pounds each year and have the audacity to put staff on furlough  :smack:

It's a PR disaster for both clubs and could / should of been better than this.  >:(
