      R.I.P. Michael Robinson

      Former Liverpool and Republic of Ireland striker Michael Robinson has passed away at the young age of 61. He passed away at his home in Madrid after battling cancer.

      He played with Liverpool in the 83/84 season scoring 6 goals in his 30 games.He played in the 84 European cup final coming on as sub, also won a league and league medal that season with the club.

      Sad news, I remember him well playing for us, didn't realise he'd been ill.

      I lived in Spain for 5 years near Barcelona. 
      Robinson was highly respected by Spaniards for his knowledge and insight into the game.

      Compared to him ... Guillem Balague is nothing but a great pretender .

      Michael wouldn’t come high on anybody’s list of Liverpool greats, however there was one man who seen something in Michael that gave his team’s extra impetus when required, Bob Paisley didn’t acquire rubbish players, he added quality to enhance his top drawer individual performers and Micheal fitted right in to that category.


      A sad day for Liverpool FC.


      Condolences to Michael’s family.

      I thought he was longer at Liverpool,defo left a mark with me don't really know why.I just watched the Graeme Souness tear jerking  tribute,respect.Always a red.
