Liverpool 4-0 Crystal Palace: In game and Post Match discussion
      Jun 24, 2020 07:17:20 pm

      Anfield tonight

Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Lovren, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Origi, Jones, Elliott, Williams.

Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson return for Liverpool for tonight’s Anfield encounter with Crystal Palace.

The pair are back in the starting line-up having played no part in Sunday’s goalless draw at Everton.

Elsewhere, Georginio Wijnaldum and Joe Gomez are selected by Jürgen Klopp as he makes four changes to the team deployed at Goodison Park.

James Milner and Joel Matip miss out due to knocks, as expected.

Why is Keita on the bench, he was our best player the other day. Palace could be tricky to break down, would have been better with Fab on the bench IMO.

Back with our strongest team then, although Keita could feel a little bit hard done by that he didn't get to keep his place.

Expecting another scrappy performance, hopefully we nick the win.

I totally agree with you. Naby is needed. Hope to see him at around 60th minute.

Absolute 0 reason to bench Naby here, except from the fact he is prone to the odd injury here and there, so wait there might actually be a good reason, ah it sucks when the manager knows best. I really want to see Naby have a run of games, but as long as we get the W, not too bothered I guess.

Maybe Jürgen thinks he can have more impact off the bench when their legs are tired?

Disagree with dropping Keita, would of left Gini on bench and played Naby.

I thought he was a sure thing to start this game given how he played and was taken off around the hour mark.

Your right..CP do defend well..only let in 1 more than City on 32 conceded. But still we should have enough firepower.

Got a lot of games in the coming weeks and they ads coming thick and fast , for someone who has spent a long time on the sidelines , a bit of managing him ,

      Not benched, rotated.

I'd be surprised if we didn't see him 2nd half to break their lines when they are a bit tired.

He should be the 1st to replace a midfield player.

I really wish for an early goal.

Much better looking side, strong attacking and in your face, I dunno but maybe Jürgen got his tactics wrong Sunday & thought we would have gotten thru Blueshite with his starting X1, hence Ox on at HT, not sure why he didn’t give Mo some minutes but hey, what do I know, anyhoo tonight I think we’ll see a much improved performance and although Palace will be difficult I can only see a relatively comfortable 3 points.
