Just did my evening walk, this time wearing my newest jersey. Treated a few strangers to a quick explanation of who the greatest football club in the world are and what they did today. Now I'm back to catch up on the virtual celebration.

Watched the city / Chelsea game on my phone while waiting for my daughter to finish her soccer practice. So much emotion for me, lived in merseyside (eastham village) from 1973-1981, and I was 17 years old when we last won it. Both parents born in Liverpool, but oddly met here in USA, born here and we all moved back to UK for my fathers job. Both are gone now, she used to pray all the time for LFC to win, very emotional now, more emotion then joy for some reason, I’ll be happier tomorrow.

So this is the earliest (7 games left) that anyone's won the title, is it also the latest (date wise)?

14th of June 1947 was the last game of the league season and the previous longest season and who won it? LFC!!

Just can't get over this, we've finally F***ing done it. Years and years, a F***ing lifetime, of needing this one simple joy, and we've finally got it. One thing with us Liverpool fans is we've stuck through it all over the years, no matter how difficult, no matter how close to today we've been, and now, here it is, we're the F***ing champions. As we should be.

I came across this earlier and it hit me like a ton of bricks, absolutely beautiful. A person, and I must have mentioned him at the time of passing on here, that hugely influenced and helped nurture my love for Liverpool, is my nephew's dad. He passed away the summer before the 08/09 season, I really thought we were gonna win it that year for him, we came so close, couldn't believe we didn't. But we've finally done it, and he'd be F***ing celebrating right now like the rest of us, if life were kinder. I'm sure we're all thinking of the Reds we've loved that aren't getting to celebrate this, but we can celebrate it for them. We've F***ing done it lads!

I can't believe its all over. The years of sh*t I've had to swallow from the Mancs is gone. The "No PL Title" just hung over us like the "sword of Damocles". The Gerrard slip, Hicks and Gillette, Roy Hodgson, United's #20, Suarez crying and Karius.
All that sh*t is gone. Its disappeared in one brief instant because of CHELSEA. Way to go ya' Blues, way to go.

At last we have won the league and we should all appreciate what Jürgen Klopp, the players and all the staff have done for this fantastic club of oursThe football we have played this season alone has been amazing.
As I am in my eighties I feel this will be an appropriate time to retire from LFC REDS  and say a big thank you to JD and all RED posters for contributing to the best forum in the world. .I will look in from time to time and of course I will still be supporting my beloved REDS.Take care
