Liverpool 2-0 Aston Villa: In game and Post Match discussion
      Jul 05, 2020 03:29:13 pm

      Anfield. Home of the champions.

Starting XI:  Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Salah, Origi.

Subs: Adrian, Wijnaldum, Firmino, Henderson, Minamino, Shaqiri, Jones, Elliott, Williams.

Liverpool make three changes for today’s Premier League fixture with Aston Villa at Anfield.

Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Divock Origi come into the starting line-up for the champions, with Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino making way.

James Milner misses out due to a tight muscle, but Xherdan Shaqiri returns on the substitutes’ bench.

The Liverpool bar here has taken the weekend off.Bit surprising considering the last few months! And the boston villa dude is whining cos reds go to "their"bar which is owned by a diehard liverpool supporter, which i don't think is open today either.Lets F**k em up 4-1, someone's gonna have a brain fart at the back.

Looking forward to seeing that midfield three.

Not so much Divock in the front three though. Hope he proves me wrong.

Hope Jones, Williams and Elliot get some decent game time off the bench.

Origi through the middle, hoping he finds the net.

I would like to think that Firmino was dropped after being completely anonymous in the shambles of a game vs Man City, but seeing as how no-one (nor even Klopp) bothered about how bad that performance was, I'm going to presume not.

I'd like to see us win, but I understand that I am supposed to be happy if we lose and get trounced every game now because it doesn't matter seeing as how we are Champions of England.

Good to see Naby getting the start. Not sure about Origi, don’t quite see the comparison with Bob as that’s who he’s replacing. Will he play through the middle with Mo right and Mane left ?
Or Mane centre and Origi left ?
Hope I’m wrong but that three up top doesn’t fill me with confidence. Origi makes it a bit disjointed.

Through the middle like vs everton at anfield I hope. He's very ineffective out wide.

Origi has to play through the middle and if he does he needs to show that he wants it..No complaints over Gini and Bobby being benched

Villa fighting for their Prem life so it should be a lively game.Watching Nabby closely.Unlucky not to get in so far so I'm hoping he can get a run going. Keep an eye on Grealish today.

That's right. If he drops off Origi thru the middle he'll show up well. Still hasn't fully arrived but I hope he does well.Nabby as well.

Don’t know about the rest of you but life’s grand! Played golf this morning, has a couple of pints in the sun, got home, having a couple more and now I get to watch the champions play without a care in the world. I bloody hope we win but technically, if we don’t, it doesn’t matter one iota! Drink it in Reds. We’re the champs! And you can now buy a beer! Life’s grand

Bit pissed off, match about to start, and I’m soon to start on a 2 1/2 hour journey home.
Crackly radio 5 for me unfortunately.
      Still expecting 4:0 though.

Big game for divvy, hope he does play through the middle, bit concerned about the midfield and too much responsibility on fab. Hopefully have enough to win today.

Find a boozer mate, delay your journey by 95 mins, central Manchester would be a ideal venue if you like living life dangerously, have fun 🤪
