I really don’t understand the need for this stupid drinks break. It’s hardly scorching heat and the players have been back in full training and matches for a while now.

Ticks a box and makes them seem more responsible doesnt it

Always thought we may end up missing our captain.  He demands standards on the pitch stay high and stops players getting complacent. There would have been a few glares and bollockings out there today if he was on that instead went unsaid.

Would he have made Salah pass the ball in front of goal??  We missed at least 3 really good chances my him and Mane being selfish, Mane is in retaliation to Salah I think.

Good call. Hadn't thought of that. He takes some stick but we always seem to miss him when he's out.

Missed the game today but by listening to Five Live in the way home Nick Pope had one of those games.

Working today, just saw the result and the comments on here.
Sounds like we had enough chances to win and didn't take them.
Surprised to see Williams and Jones both start, they're getting some good game time - if we were neck and neck with City, that doesn't happen.
And any team will miss Hendo's leadership.
Disappointed we let in that goal though, not good for my fantasy football [which is still up for grabs! :) ]

Bang on mate, it was the nick Pope show. As for the quoted comment. 😂😃😆😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have scored a combined total of 250 goals for Liverpool under Jürgen Klopp

How many have Sterling Jesus and Aguero scored for Pep in the same time, a hell of a lot more I wager?

Why do we only see certain posters after what they see as a negative result?

And then we have the forum WUM trying to get a bite, as always.

      Pope had a blinder.
We created more than enough to win, but between Pope and some poor finishing we didn't take them.

To read some of these posts, you'd think the F***ing sky had fallen.

Just to remind the gobshites who only show up here when we draw or lose; F**k off, we're champions, and we won it with a record number of games left.

      I'm heartless.

They boys gave their all to deliver number 19. High octane over two seasons. Why can't we cut them some slack?

The real war is number 20. Not this little battle you win in exchange for losing the war. Must we be supreme forever? You can't win everything.

      Very true

All the doom and gloom after this result two positives i thought about whike watching it.

Jones despite being guilty for poor finishing as the rest did played well enough to warrant more playing time (he was good at finding the right spaces) and Robbo goal was a very nice, do not see those type of finishes too often (great ball from Fabinho too)

2 draws and a defeat since the restart, going to put that down to the fact we have nothing other than records to play for now. Which to be fair, I think may partly be the case because the players know that if their levels drop, it’s not going to change the outcome of the season.

We’ve achieved what we set out to achieve in the league this season, it may not be finishing with as much style and glamour on the pitch as we’d have liked but that’s life. Constant changes to the team, nothing to play for really, injury to Hendo, now it’s very much a case of going through the motions to the end of the season and it’s showing. Of course teams battling for top 4 like City, Chavs and United are likely to be turning in slightly better and more clinical performances because they have their seasons hopes depending on it now.

Roll on next season when we are hopefully back to our clinical and efficient best with next to no lapses in performance or concentration.

If we were given the choice of winning the league or setting a new home record, I think we would all have chosen to win the league.

Robbo looked good. His header was great and he should've certainly had an assist.

Fabinho has looked amazing. Probably the best player since the restart.

Neco looked better, but there is a considerable drop off from him and the other fullbacks, even Milner. However, the skills are clearly there. He will keep progressing.

Jones is ready. Plain and simple.

Thought Bobby played well today. Even when he plays poorly, individually, he's still an important piece of our front three jigsaw, and we miss him when he doesn't play. Same with Mane and Salah. They know each other's game and what they bring collectively is better than what they bring individually. For the most part.
