Players You Would Like There Tonight

Was thinking today about this as we have had a few obvious players over the years who we would like to have been with the club for this League Title.

Stevie and Carra are top of most lists I'd say but what about the less obvious one's for you lot?

For me I'd love Dirk Kuyt to have been here. One of my favourites during his time here. A frustrating player at times but one for the big occasion and also he seems like a great guy and one who really bought into what this club is all about.

Leaving out the obvious ones, Kuyt would be up there for me along with Xabi.

I would go with Sami Hyyipa, like Carra and Stevie looking at their CV the only title he never won with Liverpool was the league title.

Pepe, absolutely loved him being at the club and another who really understood the club.

Big Sami mentioned above is a great shout too, as is Kuyt.

I'm happy Dalglish will be there as he was much more than just a player or a manager, obviously with him managing us to our last title 30 years ago it's a nice story for him to hand the medals out.

But apart from that I'm genuinely not really interested. All about this team tonight, Stevie & co can take a backseat

All good shouts above, in particular Gerrard & Carra, Agger would be another, Suarez springs to mind albeit he is shrouded in controversy, but we have to remember how he was with us rather than how he left or his antics subsequently,.....


How about Digger, Aldo, Molby, Bumper, Jocky, the list could be endless ?

I actually misread your thread there - I thought you meant players you would want to be there in attendance

I'd have loved Fowler to be in this team. Always saddens me considering great a player he was, that he never managed to win a "big" trophy at the club. I'd say he's definitely the biggest club legend to have never won the league or European Cup

Yea I see the title doesn't quite get what I mean on the OP.

Fowler is a great shout as well. My favourite player of the 90's.

If we as fans can’t be there, then I would love to see some of our greats in there to support the lads. Carra has already said he’ll be there, Stevie, Rushie, Alonso, Pepe Reina, Kuyt and there are quite a few others who I’d love to be there! Ex managers like Roy Evans, Houllier, Phil Thompson, Graeme Souness they have all played their part in our journey to this position. I know many of you will disagree, but they are all still Liverpool through and through, it’s a party a celebration, and it’s what you do!
Hope the players families can be there, I will be celebrating at home with lots of wine and family around me, hope everyone does the same! Our time for the party of the decade will come, I for one can wait until this virus has been beaten! Can’t wait to see what the club has in store for the presentation, I have it on good authority that it will be memorable and not to be missed! YNWA, sing it loud and proud tonight wherever you are.

A lot of people gave their all in that shirt and were let down by others be it owners managers or sh*te team mates. Id have no issue with them being part of tonight dotted around the ground 2 meters apart. Think it would add a little exta to it myself.

On a personal level I found it amazing to have my favourite Liverpool player of all time in the form of Barnes there on the night that we lifted the trophy after 30 years.

Suarez .... no. Horrible selfish c**t second only to diouf in ex players I dispose.

Plenty of legends who should be there though including all the ones you named.

Studge came close a couple of times and he deserved one for what he could do when he was fit.

Macca was on for another broadcast. Probably international. Souness, digger, Kelly and Carra were there for Sly.
