Who'd have thought, 3 or 4 years ago, that Hendo would be FWA POTY, as Captain of the PL, CL, CWC & Super cup champions?

Yep, had a almost impossible job of taking the captains arm band from arguably the clubs greatest player. He has withstood a lot of criticism, but the cream always rises to the top. Hendo, you have done a great job, and will become a Kop legend. 

Wow, from almost being sold to Fulham, to winning the CL, Premier league, and an individual award like POTY. What a turnaround.

Well in skip. One of his doubters till 2018, not only proved most us wrong, but also went a few steps beyond that, giving cracking performances this season.

No one deserves it more, and not just for this season,
After so called professionals stating he is basically sh*te to having to battle for his Anfield existence,  absorbing all the criticism even from his peers,  to stepping into Gerrards boots as captain and surpassing what was expected, and finally being the collossus on the pitch helping, cajoling, bollocking, mentoring his charges to Four major competition wins, including our 19th league Title, a Sixth Champions league/European Cup, a European Super cup,  and a Club World Cup first, and don't forget three entire season s unbeaten at home,


Yet there was some Citeh Bint on talkshite apoplectic that KVB  came second,  and reckon Jordan ain't fit to tie his boot laces, f***in Slag !

No, he deserves it. I guess they don't call the award "Most Valuable Player" but I think that is what he is. He brings more to the team, makes the team much more of what it is that won the title.

Sadio is probably our most spectacular player. Virgil our most dependable. These are fine points of difference I'll grant you, and in the end it's about the team, but I think Jordan is deserving of this honor.

Jordan Henderson is the only English captain ever to lift:
• Champions League,
• UEFA Super Cup,
• FIFA Club World Cup,
• Premier League.

Fully deserved,  he sets,  a example to everyone, stepped up when it mattered, he gave everything he could each time he played, no one can ask for anymore, he is not the best player at Liverpool, he’s not the best player in the league, but he’s one of the best at commitment, his consistency levels this season have been superb, whereas before it was a major concern,

Before Jürgen he was Mr inconsistency and his decision making was mediocre at times, on average he would probably score a 5 or 6 , now we’re getting 7’s 8’s almost every week, his leadership skills have improved immensely too,

What I’m impressed with is how he handles himself both on and off the pitch, taking over the armband from Stevie G wasn’t easy, but he has walked in his shoes with aplomb, he took the lead in the players corona virus charity thingy, he and Marcus Rashford deserve great credit for what they have done.


All the great Liverpool captains have lifted silverware of one form or another, some are Legends and some are just brilliant at what they do, Jordan Henderson has lifted a European cup, a European super cup, a Club World Cup and now the Creme de la creme a Premier League Trophy, with more to follow, there aren’t many Manchester based players can say that , especially those noisy neighbours of yours, you know, the ones who like to cheat & buy their success !

Like most have stated he came to the club with the massive task wearing the heaviest boots.  The burden of Captain fantastic was heavy but I am 100% sure that Steven G will be very proud of him.  He has officially delivered what was initially an impossible task.  He has kept his head down and give his all on the pitch not as talented as Gerrard but has delivered at the very highest level.

Good for Jordan, well deserved and what a way to cap off the year.

Never really looked at it like that Billy and reading your post can now see where your coming from. Also, like you said went through some bad patches ( not this year ) but wore the captains band well this year.

I actually thought VVD would of got the armband at beginning of season but after his performance this year can see why Klopp stuck by him.

He's all about the team. Can't ask for more.

Something we used to hear has been long gone, that is players complaining about being benched, let alone the captain.

He is what he is. Team player. I don't see him getting hurt when benched. Waves that armband away when he comes in. He's the captain everyone wishes for. The team comes first.
