      Yasser Larouci (Leeds)
      Aug 04, 2020 12:58:34 pm
Newly-promoted Leeds United are ‘monitoring’ Liverpool full-back Yassser Larouci ahead of their return season in the Premier League, but price might prove an issue.

The 19-year-old is yet to make his Premier League debut for the Reds, but has made two appearances in the FA Cup this season. He arrived at Anfield from French club Le Havre in 2017 and is highly though of by Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp, who is bringing through a string of promising youngsters, including Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Neco Williams.

Larouci has done enough to catch the eye of Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, with the Athletic reporting that the Yorkshire club are keen to bring him in, but price could be a problem.

The teenager is not guaranteed a place in the Leeds team, given his inexperience and number of options available to Bielsa on the left of defence.

The report suggests that Leeds are interested in adding another left-back option despite this, but Larouci’s price tag may well make that unfeasible, while a loan move may prove unappealing with game time limited. However, Leeds are not giving up hope and will continue to track the situation.

Thought he looked a very promising youth player when he's had to get involved.   Wonder why we're going to sell him?

Maybe we are shopping him in an effort to buy a solid backup for Robbo?

I heard he was the one forcing the issue. Declined to sign a new contract and would prefer to move to a club with an easier path to first team football. Which is fair enough I guess.

I heard he had said he won't renew his contract with us as well. We've got two young left backs already, no reason to continue spending player development time and money on him.

He showed some promise going forward but to be fair he was miles away from being able to defend adequately in the Premier League, even allowing for the revised role for outside backs in Jürgen's team. Doubt if this will be much of a price tag.

Leeds would surprise me though. I would expect him to return to the continent somewhere.

Totally agree he showed promise in attack but defensively he was well off it.

      F**k him,
Thinks he’s made it cos he played in a couple of League cup games, and now can’t be arsed to fight for a place in the best side in the world, deep down he knows he’s not nor will ever be good enough to shift Robbo, so he’s being a tw*t, refusing to sign a new contract blah blah f***in blah, and f***in off to seek pastures new,

He’s 19 Ffs, and he thinks he’s made , well he f***in isn’t, he’s a lazy tw*t who’s scared of hard graft, wants everything made easy for him, he’ll learn, the hard way, and probably end up playing for someone like Burton Albion.

Good luck with the Tykes Yasser, it’s all down hill from there  !

Wow. You must have inside information to have formed such a strong opinion. Apparantly you have intimate knowledge of his character and temperament. He "can't be arsed" "lazy tw*t" " scared of hard graft" and he's the one refusing to sign. How do you know that it's not the Liverpool coaching staff who don't think he has enough ability?

Simple fact is, he doesn’t want to be here, so F**k him, he can F**k right off as far as I’m concerned, he’s no different from Suarez, Torres, Coutinho, he’s a f***in kid who thinks he’s made it , he hasn’t,  he can’t be arsed to fight or work his nads off to try and get into the team, we don’t need prima donnas, and we don’t want players not prepared to at least give their all, he may not have broken thru but at least he could have tried instead of whinging like a bi*ch and given up.

At LFC expect to run thru brick walls, if you don’t fancy it you can F**k Off, Simples !
