Inevitable given everyone had recently been on their holidays.

Trent, he's at home on an individual training regime, not sure why.

Yeah, but he's not been at the camp.
No sign of Origi in the recent training pics.

That bit about isolating after the positive test in camp....like closing the barn door after the horse has left.

No statement from the club so hopefully not a true situation.

Injured. It’s someone that is with the traveling group. But read earlier they think it might have been a false positive?

Those rapid results tests, which are saliva-based and employed a lot with sport teams, do seem to give out false positives much more than the swab-up-the-nose version the rest of us generally get (and take 24-48 hours to yield results).

Hopefully that's the situation with this (if there even IS a situation).

And while it's true that athletes are not likely to suffer the more serious effects of this, it does totally disrupt their involvement in the team's preparation (and of course can pose a threat to others near them).

Wonder if Degzy's final act as a red was to infect the squad with Covid 😂

With Austria being added to the list of countries you have to self isolate when you return, surely its wise that our squad get their asses back to Melwood and scrap any money spinning pre-season games?
I'm pretty certain Melwood will have all the state of the art facilities for the squad to work with... plus of course, that fresh river mersey air will put hairs on their chests !! ;D

Doubt they are money spinning whatsoever, no fans, no pomp and ceremony, no tv deal money (lfctv carrying it and wont be paying) no normal preseason meet and greet or promotional duties

      Simply game time

They'll be isolating when they get back regardless of quarantine, they are being test twice a week as well

It's not like me or you going on an all inclusive

They have an exemption, no idea why, but apparently they don't have to quarantine after returning.

Because they are being tested consistently and are only coming into contact with others who are tested as well

      Simple really

This isn't money spinning friendlies though, this or France is where we'd be every year in pre-season if Klopp had his way!

Actually there will be some fans at the Salzburg game, Austria have been allowing reduced crowds.

They have an exemption, no idea why, but apparently they don't have to quarantine after returning.

Through the FA, same exemption that allowed City to travel to Portugal for CL and Utd to Germany for the EL.

so if you tested everyone before they boarded a plane, you woudln;t need any quarantine, that's genius!!!! If only the scientists in SAGE could figure that out!

Different situation isnt it though. It cost the club £140,000 for the period post football coming back

Its hardly financially viable to do it for people returning from holidays

I mean I gave the reason they dont need to quarantine and you be a facetious tw*t about it
