I think they will all make it here mate, or at least will be given great opportunities to do so. We have a squad now capable of competing for multiple trophies for the first time in a long time. The young lads will have their part to play in this.

      Very exciting times.

Agree, this is just the start of the Klopp conveyer belt of young lads being given the opportunities to prove they are good enough, some will make it, some unfortunately won’t, but that’s not a bad thing either, for them at least,
Where else in the premier League do you see young lads from academies given the chance to prove their talents ?
Those who don’t make it will do elsewhere, where they will suit the standard of that particular club, in other words they will find their level and excel,

Take a look at what has been done at Citeh, a purpose built academy all within the area of the Emptihad, they have been set up there for a few years now, but I don’t see many of their young lads making breakthroughs like we have, only Foden as far as I can tell, but we’ve seen, Trent, Curtis, Neco, Harvey, etc I the last 2/3 years with more making a name for themselves as we type,

Easy to see who’s future is looking the brightest amongst all academy hopefuls.

Gomez has been atrocious so far.

front three crap as well, and midfield, so sluggish, poor control, poor tempo, lack of pressing. just sh*t all round.

Dont forget we played Saturday, have done double sessions each day since and trained this morning

We tend to get the odd result like this in pre season under Jürgen because he beasts them

It's about minutes in the legs not the result

Extremely rusty half, showing some signs of life towards the end there.

Easy to see they are ahead of us in training and playing games.
Sharper, quicker to the ball and deserved lead.

Started to come back into it towards the end of the half, but with all the changes coming up for the 2nd half, I'm not expecting much from us.

On the other hand, I don't put too much store in pre-season friendlies, so not overly fussed.

First game of the season is at the weekend, and it's one I'd like us to win.
