This reminds me of when Liverpool won at old Trafford 4-1.
Giggs said afterwards that Liverpool can celebrate but it’s who celebrates in May that matters.

I find it odd how folk on bbc are saying it’s put united back in the title race.

If city only win 5 and lose 5 of their last 10 games it still means united need to win 9 out of their 10.

Not back in the race but they are still looking better than us. Their defenders don't poo the bed when being pressed, they play around it and don't hoof.

Ole seems to have Pep's number a bit, United got an excellent record against them now.

Pity he didn't have it in April 2019 when we needed him to.

They've scored 3 goals against their rival clubs this season, 1 from open play. If we're boring, what does that make them?

They have their day today, but they have as much chance of winning the league as we have. So I'll still be notifying everyone that their league winning timer will need to be reset again soon.

2-0 United. Pains me to say but we are far behind even the Mancs

That's not a surprise. We're far behind half the teams in the league.  :f_doh:

I find the whole career narrative of Sam Allardyce by the English press utterly astounding. On BBC Sport right now there is an article entitled 'Did Sam Allardyce make a mistake choosing West Brom?'

How about they flip the narrative? 'Did West Brom make a mistake choosing Sam Allardyce' is a much more accurate headline.

Seriously, the indulgence, near cult like obsession by the mainstream English football press towards him is indicative of its backward ways. That they continue to prop up a man who, let's face it, represents the sort of football that made a mockery of English football on the world stage, is bemusing.

I agree, lets not forget him getting sacked as England Manager as well for some quite iffy dealings.  It really is weird why he gets a free pass whereas other managers are hounded by the press.

I genuinely believe you'd find more critiques on Klopp and Guardiola's tactics and management over the last 5 years than you'd do with Allardyce.

Villa have just scored. If they hold on we would be down to 9th place and most the teams above us still have a game in hand.

Chelsea drop 2 points today at Leeds. Get that win on Monday and start putting pressure on them.
