If they carry on the way they played tonight, West Ham won't be far behind.

About time West Ham got relegated again. Hole of a club.

Be interesting to see how Newcastle do this season.  Can't really fault the job Steve Bruce has done there so far and they have brought in some players who can give them something they haven't had for a while.

Still crackers seeing them start the season with Andy Carroll though!

Andy Carroll has stolen a living for so long now, ever since he came to us he's been sh*t or injured, yet still earning every year.

West Brom starter off well but Leicester City creating few chances. Chance to see Harvey Barnes who we were linked to, lots of hard work but not much end product.

West Brom and Fulham add absolutely nothing to the premier league, I’d say quite confidently, even on match week one, they both go straight back down by the end.

It’s strange Bruce seems to get far more financial backing than Rafa did there.

Not watching him enough, Bruce even joked about it last night at the end of the West Ham game, the more he got tired, he started throwing a shift in at the back at corners.

Pretty much like Heskey at times for us. Not my cup of tea as a player, not even when he played for us, but he does try to throw a shift in, just that when he has a bad game, it stands out a mile.

Some decent players on the Wolves squad isn’t there? Never really watched them apart from when we play them.

Traore is just a nightmare for defenders, would hate to have him running at me.

Coady commanded his box as good as I’ve seen from anyone, last time I ever took notice of him was when he was still a midfielder, looks like he’s been playing CB his whole career.

Boly looks a huge presence in his box and I like what I’ve seen this game.

And Jimenez looks the closest I’ve seen to another Bobby, he’s everywhere on the pitch... looked like he was filling in at RB a few moments ago..

Lallana has broken down before the first half is through.

Feel for him he's just not up to it physically anymore.

Lallana off injured, what a shock that is.

He’s not really done anything aside from win the penalty. Hopefully stays that way

Job done for the season, how long a contract does he have with Brighton? 😉

I'd like to see their finances at the end of the season the salary expenditure alone must be enormous.

Sustainable under ffp? Wouldn't be surprised if they are punished again in the next couple of years.

He's by far and away the most threatening player on the pitch. Wouldn't be surprised if he's a top 3 goalscorer be end of season.

Havertz on the other hand hasn't looked anything special.

Havertz has been terrible. Probably the worst player on the pitch.

Brighton have gifted this win to Chelsea. First goal was a stupid pass by Alzate that resulted in a penalty, 2nd was a one off strike and then 3rd was arguably an own goal due to a massive deflection.

Brighton have had plenty of big chances that they’ve wasted. Chavs have gotten away with one.
