Chelsea been average but they'll be a totally different proposition next week with Pulisic back in the side.

Who do you drop for Pulisic? I said before, we play them at a good time but Werner is scary. I fancy our attack against their defence though.

Havertz based on that performance. Probably be Loftus Cheek though who makes way.

Werner has frightening pace but he didn’t do anything with the ball tonight that concerns me, spends a lot of time offside. If he replicates tonight’s performance then I’m confident. It’s Pulisic that worries me, he always causes us grief.

Only watched about the first ten minutes.  No good?

I was thinking for the brief time I was watching that actually right now would be a really good time to do wholesale changes to the squad.

Surely it is much easier for new players to integrate into a team whilst there are no fans there.  If a player has a real stinker first couple of games and opposition fans really got into them it could definitely affect them? Manager more likely to stick with them at the moment etc...  Or am I overthinking it.

Coming from some European leagues to the Premier League is extra daunting for some with the fans etc?

Side note - I hear Lallana didn't get through the game.

Why was Pulisic not playing, is he injured? Hopefully he'll be a little bit rusty, he is a real demon against us, another one that got away :-(.

His debut reminded me of Ox in his first game for us. Havertz poses no threat, didn’t create anything, didn’t have a shot, lost the ball 24 times and lost 7 duels.

      This summarises his performance -

Looked incredibly lightweight too. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for him.

Took a knock in training. Expect he will be back for Sunday.

Didn't he get injured in the FA Cup Final?  Hadn't realised he had played since then, though he was out till the end of September.

Think he was recovered from that. Apparently He was in full training for the Brighton game but then had some discomfort.

Werner had an ice pack on his knee after the game yesterday but he’s said he will be fine for Sunday.

It seems strange not being top of the league, seeing us down in 6th just doesn't seem right at all. Lowest position we were in last season was 3rd I believe, and then after our 2nd game we were top for the remainder of the season. Hopefully we will reclaim that same position after our 2nd game on Sunday.

I know it’s only week two, but could we be seeing one of the highest scoring premier league seasons this year? Looks like every team bar a couple could have lots of goals in them.

Edit: also a lot of mistakes in them too...

Shaw looks so out of shape every time I see him, looks like they grabbed a random who’s just got done with their pie from the stands.

And he’s been one of their better players! Says it all...

3-1 still a good result for Palace

Been some goals flying in this last week or so. Was a bit worried about the quality of games before the season began because we seemed to be plagued with a load of 0-0's after the restart a few months ago, but I'm guessing that was more down to sharpness and not the closed doors scenario
