Hopefully Palace and/or Burnley can get something from their games today and we can make up some ground tomorrow.

Edit: Could do with Sheffield getting something too to be honest... three home wins today please.

Aren't they the games involving teams playing at weekend in the cup.

      Quote from Isaac!
One goal! And that comes in a 6-1 loss. Hahaha!

      ...which was...wait for it...a penalty.

When the penalty appeal was rejected in the reverse fixture, the Rice Krispies head said it wasn't a penalty. Now he says a questionable handball which none of his own players appealed for clearly was, and lashed
out at his rival managers for allegedly costing his team two points.

VAR provided the ref with all the evidence he needed to make his decision, which he did. The ref was brave enough to stick with his original call which he should be thanked for, rather than cave in and give them yet another penalty.

I would definitely be in favour of spray being deployed to keep players and coaching staff well away from refs while they are in the ref review area. The yellow card sanction clearly isn't enough on it's own.

Couple of good results for us there with Leicester drawing and Villa losing.

      And Manure drawing.

Means nothing if we can't win or at least draw tomorrow.

I honestly think 2nd place might still be possible if we can pick up some momentum.

It's mad. At the moment I feel like there's an equal chance of us finishing 2nd or finishing 8th!

We can start the weekend in the top 4 with a win would be a massive morale boost.

      Mad season this.

Wrong thread but Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund is a fantastic match. 2-2 at halftime.

Haaland and Lewandowski each with a brace.

Forgot about this so now turned over from watching the most overrated footballer on earth, Adama Traore. Stealing a living

Adam Lallana looking after us. Why. didn't we keep him for another year of two, he's a fantastic player. And also why shift out Mini when he scored in his last game v Palace. So many strange decisions. Anyway come on Brighton.

Re Lallana - because he was literally out injured more than he was fit to play. Happy he's finding some success now but after his first year or two under Jürgen (and Jürgen loved him), he just couldn't hold up physically.

Re Minamino. OK, he scored a goal vs. Palace. He also looked totally out of his depth in almost every game for us other than that (faded in that game too). Again, I'm glad he's having some success and hopefully it helps him to be a better player for us next season. That's what loans are for. But to assume he would have just caught fire for us if he'd stayed is some kind of great leap forward in logic.

Lallana also made of glass. And he scored his first goal for Brighton tonight since joining them so it's not like he's pulling up trees this season.

Not ideal we loaned out Minamino but he is getting regular PL game time that he otherwise would not have this season.

Got rid of Lallana a year or two too late if anything

It's embarrassing that they're the results we're hoping to go our way, with 10 games still to go.

At that point last year, we were debating what weekend we wanted to get over the line.

United look a good bet for 2nd. Title challenge is long gone but it’s progress for them. If they can win a cup and finish 2nd it’s a step forward for them.

Apart from the pen in the 1st minute or so, I think the manc derby game has mostly been boring.

I'll still take 1-0 lead into half time with smile on my face HR. Just hope it's still there at full time.  ;D
