He helped us knock a full strength Spurs out of the League Cup in 04/05 at White Hart Lane on penalties. Rafa fielding a team of reserves and then some. Recall the likes of John Welsh, Zak Whitbread, Darren Potter playing.

You'd think to hear Dion Dublin this was the first game of football Marine had ever played.

I know their underdog's but my goodness he's went overboard with the clichés.

13 Premier League teams and 19 others advance to the 4th Round.

With our fixture list, it would be nice to get someone lower in the tree.

Normally Id be delighted with that, but with the amount of games coming up so would rather a home tie v Chorley

Feels like we get a tough draw every round in the domestics cups the last few seasons.

I’d be amazed if we go full strength.
The cups don’t seem attractive to klopp and he played the kids at anfield against Everton so it’s clear his priorities are elsewhere.

The magic has gone because only the clubs with a good second 11 compete. There is no money and with an empty Wembley and Europa league place to the winners it’s easy to see why clubs don’t really bother.

But I think the villa game was about making sure some first team players kept their ‘rhythm’ for the United game. It would have been nearly 2 weeks without a game else.

Their draws over the last few seasons, in both cups, have been a joke. Dunno how they keep getting them.

Its getting to the point where it must be more than luck, they almost never get a tricky draw.

Southampton 1-0 up against Shrewsbury at the moment.

That'll put them against Arsenal in the next round.

      Should be an interesting one.
