Too flawed of an approach where teams could use it to their advantage. If the offending player is more valuable to the offending team than the injured player to his team, what is stopping the team whose player got injured from saying "it's a season-ending injury" even if it's not?
      Correct, it's a ridiculous idea.

Conversely, you could bring on a mediocre sub with 5 mins to go with the sole intention of ending the season of a rival's key player.

I’m sure independent medical examinations could sort that out.
As for sending mediocre players out to deliberately assassinate a superior players career. Think that’s the part that’s a bit far fetched.

We should do a shitload of loan signings in January, just for insurance, because at the moment these injuries are decimating our team and there is no reason to think it will be easier second half of the season.
Jones has stepped up massively in his absence though

The one player I can't wait to see once everyone's back in the ground.

He should be fit by then!!

110% agree with you. The few minutes he played I was just in awe. Even a simple pass looks great when it's coming out of his foot. Everything he does is so gracious and seems to be calculated for best efficiency.

With guys like Mo, Sadio, Bobby and Jota upfront, once he's back, it won't be a problem to finish games off and breaking dead locks. That Everton game was perfect example of it.

He also solves a lot of problems. A 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 with him in the middle will be a seamless transition because how good he is at pressing and then beating the press once he's got the ball back. I would love to see a 4-2-3-1 with him and Hendo as the pivots and Gini in the hole behind the striker.

hopefully, man, he is way too good to be injured for a long time especially in his first season.

What I liked the most about Thiago's game is his quick pass tendency which was infectious among his teammates.
Sadly, the team hasn't been able to practice with his guy....but if and when they do, I expect Liverpool's offense to dissect defenses with much more ease.

Its not looking good for thiago in my opinion.

Be surprised if we see him before February. Worrying how silent liverpool have been on this. They have not even said what the issue is. Hopefully im wrong

Very little info indeed. Would be very interesting to see if Thiago at least does individual training with the ball which would be a good sign. There's a positive: when Thiago comes back he'll be fresh and like a cheat mode for us when players all over Europe grow tired of a long season.

Glad Fab has gone off but it's made the win less likely now. No leader back there.

I'm starting to believe what we saw against Everton was a hologram. A wonderful, world class hologram.

At least he'll be available in spring when games become more and more important. Only VVD is done for us, it doesn't look too bad on the injury front. The real trouble is when u have guys out for 6 months and more.

That's from 2 weeks ago we already know now the injury is worse than initially expected and Thiago won't be back until the new year.
