Another thing that has went under the radar for me among many of the fans is that we actually signed Thiago.

Think that’s because we haven’t seen the best of him mate, last seasons defensive issues had huge knock on effects to the midfield and Thiago was perhaps not able to showcase his talents as he would have liked, along with having injuries of his own thanks to the yarddogs at Goodison.

Looked brilliant so far this season.

Hopefully will be back soon, little bit unlucky with the injuries so far.

I thought at the time, when Thiago was signed, that it was maybe an indicator that Gini was going to leave at the end of his contract.
Just seemed like such a stacked midfield, where it would be difficult to keep everyone happy.
Obviously injuries and midfielders playing in defence meant that didn't happen last season.
Great to see Thiago being able to play his game now, with Fabinho alongside him.

Been very good so far, lucky he is only missing the odd game through injury so far.

Love watching him, the touch, the passing everything is so smooth.

When Allison got his calf injury 2 years ago, he was out for 2 months. So seeing how Thiago limped off last week, him out for just 2 games looked hopelessly optimistic.

To be honest, the only midfielder we have that we can build a team around is Fab, all the others get far too many knocks and injuries. Even Fab is susceptible to a muscle injury now and again.

If you're going to "build" around anyone in midfield, it's Jones and Elliott. The rest are at an age where in 2-3 years they're gone or being phased out.
