Reports saying might not make Chelsea game

Is he injured or is this still a Covid issue? I must have missed why he’s even out.

It's always something..... Love the dude, and I just get happy when he is on the pitch, but never expect it to be more than a few weeks before bad news is in this thread.

Before the Leicester game Klopp said Thiago had trained but was missing from the squad because he still wasn’t feeling well. Unless I’ve missed something since the game, which is likely because I’ve not had time to keep up with it, providing he’s feeling better then he will be in the team.

Read earlier that we’ve failed to win a game this season that Thiago hasn’t started. In the league anyway.

      Didn't know that.

Did hear something about any game he's started this year we've won or something along those lines.

Fantastic player but seems very injury prone unfortunately.

Sounds like we aren’t going to see him for ages. Great player, but sadly just can’t be relied upon. Incredibly frustrating 😞

How on earth has he picked it up whilst isolating ?

It's nothing new, rumoured he needs surgery, that will put him out for rest of season.

But again just rumours and nothing actually confirmed.

I think he trained once after covid and something went wrong. Either way, just sums up the last few weeks…

I havent read those rumours myself but I'm hoping this is not true because we really do need him healthy and on form in the coming weeks, months.

Big shame, easily our best midfielder and we've struggled a lot without him already.

Opens up space for Ox and Harvey. Thiago gets old anyway. Jürgen needs to know if he needs to go shopping for a midfielder this summer. If Ox convinces or if Harvey continues to impress (alongside Hendo & Fab), we do not need to splash out money for a top notch midfielder. So this is not a big deal if true. Of course I am thinking progressive here. It would be a big deal if we led City with 5 points by now. But since our league chances are minimal anyway, why not check out Ox and maybe even Keita can take advantage. We have enough firepower there.

Sad thing is, this was the one red flag people had before we signed him was that he had some injury issues. Looks like maybe we should have looked elsewhere. One reason Gini was so well loved (and relied upon)….you always knew he’d be available. Sometimes availability is the best ability.

We have form buying glass players. Ox and Naby were the walking wounded too before we signed them.

Naby missed 12 games in 3 seasons prior to us buying him 3 of which were Malaria hardly walking wounded is it

Fair enough, but he's made up for it here . Big Naby fan btw.

Well said. Thiago is amazing on the pitch, anyone who argues that should be checked into the booby hatch. However, he's missed more than half his games in his career due to injury, and we bought him past his physical peak. Had to see this one coming.

Oh well, love it when he plays. Him and Fab in the MF together is as good as it gets

What the F**k are you talking about?? Ox will never be close to the quality for Thiago and Harvey plays in a different position. Also you may not have noticed but Keita is a bigger sick note that Thiago.

We will sign a new midfielder in the Summer regardless of Thiago's fitness but he's the best midfielder at the club when fit no question.
