Maybe the word I think of is reliable. Some players have great fitness and play/available for selection most games (like Salah or VvD) while Thiago just doesn't feature enough (played 895 min) to be relied upon.

In fairness, the longest spell he was out for was because of a horrendous foul from Richarlison, a foul that could quite easily have snapped his leg in half. The fact he was out for as long as he was is still a lot better than what the potential lay off could have been.

Since then he's had Covid, like many others. We also don't know the reasoning behind this latest injury but the fact he is only expected to miss a game or 2 shows it's probably more of a precaution than anything. He's been boss this season and the partnership he has with Fab is great, so if he's out of 2/3 games here and there, then so be it, we should be able to cover his abscence for that time with the squad we have anyway.

Exactly, it has been his M O so shouldn't be a surprise but seems to be little frustrating from supporters about it. It would be nice to have Ketia/Ox find some form for the final 3 months to take the pressure on Thaigo not being available for selection most games.

Would leave him out of the game personally, we have the advantage and we should have more than enough quality to finish the job off. Save him for the upcoming games

What I like about him is that since he is a talented player, when he does an error, a big one, it does not effect his confidence.

He forgot about it immediately. This quality cannot be said for every player.

It's impressive, but it's also worrisome given his injury history...

He played really well again today we have so many options now depending the opposition.
Also thought Naby was exceptional and Fab had Grealish in his pocket.

He was exceptional wasn’t he! It was this time last year that he really came into form. If he can stay fit and maintain this form he will be key to us winning more silverware this season.

we need a massively aggressive midfield duo to make the space for him to play but he was unplayable at times tonight. Jürgen just has such a feel for what team to put out

Imperious performance tonight. Thiago was a Rolls Royce. He hit a similar run of fitness and form this time last year. Long may it continue, he was simply unplayable and 8n haven’t enjoyed watching someone pass the ball this much since Xabi in his pomp.
