Read somewhere that Thiago likely not travel with the team to the match vs Ajax.

Doesn't look good at all. Jürgen said "I don't know how long that will take". I follow Jürgen for almost 20 years, back where he worked in Mainz. And that phrase usually meant several weeks at least, including a chance that it is worse. Usually when it's a 1-2 week-thing Jürgen says something along the lines "it's not big, he's close, but not today", when it's day-to-day he basically says that the player looks fine and is an option.

This one game vs. Everton was a gamechanger. It's worse than when City lost KDB two seasons ago. But you could read between the lines of Jürgen's PC that he will motivate his team thru the VVD-VAR-incident. That could be a blessing in disguise.

Jürgen sounding in pre-Ajax presser like Thiago could be out for multiple games.

I mean, you look at that challenge and it's a wonder he completed the match.

I hope so, I might just spend the whole match watching what he does...you know how they do the highlights of the player with the torch light on him. That's gonna be me watching this lad dance around the park, putting balls on a dime!!!!

I did that against Bitters focused on him such simplicity and just love the positions he takes and his passing . I was also more impressed with his tacking made 2 or 3 great tackles something I wasn't sure he had to his game .Fantastic addition

Of course, the time I'm ready to do it, he's out!

      Hope he's back soon.

Er, he was on the end of a horrific tackle in the derby..

Had his leg been fully planted hed have had his leg snapped in two, I dont think it's a bit of a stretch to think he has got away with a bit of ligament damage from it

Few weeks out as expected. I'd think he will be back soon

Echo is saying he is back training (although "away from the main group", not sure why) so may be in contention for Sunday.

Good news. Sickening to see 2 of the silkiest players in the world getting chopped down like that by those arseholes. If he's not fit for City, fine, I still fancy us to win -  just good to hear he sounds well on the mend and will be back pinging those passes around again soon.

Great news, can't wait to see our midfield maestro back in action.

That's a myth. He had one serious injury at Bayern but averaged over 25 league game starts a season over the 7 seasons he was there.

Yea he'll be on the bench for sure but if the game is tight we will need him at some point second half to unlock their defence.

Officially out for City and also out of the Spain squad.

If he returns in our first game back, Leicester on the 21st,he will have missed over a month. Sunday will be the 6th match he misses from Richarlison's horror challenge.

We're damn lucky it's only 6 matches and not 6 months!

He finished the game so don't think that challenge is the reason alone he's missed so much time.
